I would say to o ur students, especially to those who a,re g rad u ating , th a t you have come upon the scene in a d ay o f g re a t opportunities. You must choose betw een th e o p p o rtu n ities o ffe re d by th e M a s te r fo r service to H im and the o pportunities o ffere d by the w orld fo r g re a t gain and p o p u la rity. Yes, th e o p po rtunities fo r w orld ly gain, w o rld ly pleasure, and w o rld ly p o p u la rity are set before you in all th e ir dazzling splendor, but C h ris t says, Forsake all o f these things and take up y o u r cross and fo llow me if you w ould have tru e success and in h erit eternal life. You are the children o f destiny. You have come upon th e scene of action in one o f the most momentous times o f earth's history. This is a tim e o f fa st m oving events, and you w ill be p laying an im p o rta n t p a rt in the shaping of earth's destiny. You have studied fa ith fu lly and are well p rep ared to ac t yo u r p a rt upon the stage o f life. You are especially tra in e d in m edical lines and are fu lly p rep ared to m inister to suffering human足 ity like our M a s te r did. A s th e signals are given, " O n y o u r mark, g e t set," and th e starter's gun barks, le t everyo ne be up and away. Keep y o u r eye upon the finish line, strain every muscle, e xert e ve ry energy, tax e ve ry c ap ac ity as you run th e race of life. W h e n you come to the end o f the race m ay each one be able to say w ith th e apostle Paul, "I have fo u g h t a good fig h t, I have finished m y course, I have kep t th e fa ith ."
