To help the customer succeed
Kesla’s competitive advantage throughout the company’s history has been based on the efficiency and durability of the products. The efficiency and reliability of the equipment become the most important factors when entrepreneurs consider the profitability of their business. Equipment choices are guided by expediency – technology appropriate to each operating environment and each application is needed.
The impact of megatrends
Global megatrends, such as climate change, depletion of natural resources, population growth, the ageing of the population, urbanisation and changes in consumption patterns, affect Kesla and Kesla’s customers. Many forest machine entrepreneurs and transport entrepreneurs are observing climate change and Finnish forest debate with great concern.
“Of course, the debate feels confusing at times. It is easy to get the impression that agriculture and forestry are the worst crimes in this country,” says Juuso Laukkanen, Managing Director of Punkaharjun Metsäpalvelut Oy LKV.
Megatrends change the values and attitudes of society. New trends may in turn emerge from the changed values. In the constant change, Kesla listens to its customers as it moves forward.
New opportunities
Products developed for customer needs, reliable delivery capability, active presence in the market and services promoting the customer’s business have been put at the heart of the strategy. The forest is still Kesla’s strongest support.
Kesla’s technological solutions make it possible to expand from the forest into new sectors – recycling, urban environments, real estate services or maintaining basic infrastructure for society.
Close to the client
Entrepreneurs know that you cannot succeed with unreliable equipment. When the situation requires it, smooth servicing and spare parts service are extremely important.
Kesla’s truck-mounted cranes have six sales points in Finland and more than 30 service points. Kesla’s tractor equipment and chippers are represented in Finland by AGCO Finland’s sales and service network of more than 30 locations.
Kesla’s harvester heads and forest machine cranes are mainly sold directly to forest machine manufacturers and for excavators.
Made in Finland
In December, the Association for Finnish Work celebrates the ‘Buy Work in Finland Day’. The day is also important for Kesla, whose products manufactured in Finland have been awarded the Key Flag origin label.
