FOR WILDLAND FIRE OPERATIONS OFF-ROAD AND BEYOND

KESLA HydraX turns commonly used agricultural tractors into a fleet of rapid wildland fire fighting forces off-road, in-built areas and beyond. The HydraX consists of:

- KESLA 144ND forestry trailer

- 10,5 m3 water tank with water suction and jet spraying systems

- 200 l tank for ForExt Forest Fire Extinguishing Agent

- KESLA 325T loader with a grapple

The unit is quick to deploy on public roads to wildland fire sites and beyond; off-road the unit uses its own hydraulic unit for assisted drive for increased mobility. HydraX can quickly fill itself from closest natural water source i.e. lake, river or even bigger ditches and no time is wasted in water logistics. HydraX water tank can also be fed from a pressure line e.g. from a fire post or a tank truck and the unit can as well feed a tank truck or a water reservoir for effective water logistics in rural areas.

A fog cloud or a powerful water jet spray can be easily targeted using one of the three water spraying systems at a time; one mounted on the boom, another manually operated at rear and the most powerful one on top of the water tank. At best, water stream can reach horizontally over 50m and vertically almost 45 m high. Grapple on the boom can effectively open fire nests while ForExt admixture is shot on the grapple simultaneously.

Depending on the water spraying system in use, one 10,5 m3 full water tank fill allows ca. 10-70 min continuous uninterrupted working time for the unit before tank re-fill is needed.

In addition to wildland fires, the HydraX can also perform industrial and municipal wet works. To maximize the value of the unit, with some work, the HydraX can also switch into roundwood logistics. HydraX is a great add-on for increased revenue!

KESLA HYDRAX™ PERFORMANCE

Application drawings present approximate values only. Performance values assume that needed hydraulic oil and water pressures and flows are available. Water jet stream and fog pattern reach and area coverage are indicated in no wind conditions at given horizontal angle and vertical elevation. Wind conditions can substantially affect to the shape and the reach of the water jet stream. Always make sure there are no people in the safety zone and the equipment stands on a stable ground.
