Planning Your Wedding Is Not Easy

Planning your wedding is no easy task. There are just so many things to take into account. In fact, in some respects it is akin to moving home. In both cases you have long “to do” lists that then lead to sublists, and even then, there is always a niggle at the back of your mind that you have forgotten something. Unless you are blessed with unlimited money – and how many of us are? – there is one job above all others which is said to be the worst challenge, and that is deciding upon your wedding guest list. Who you invite, and equally, who you don’t.
One of the things that you must do is to set a limit on the number of guests. This may well be decided for you by the venue that you have chosen, because it may simply be limited to the number of guests that it can hold and cater for. So perhaps the venue for your reception can take 120 people. But between you and your fiancée, you have 500 family members and friends. Uh oh!

So, you really need to get together and decide o a number and how it is to be divided between the two families –ideally 50/50 of course. Then you need to make an A list and a B list, the A list being those for whom it is vital to be invited, and the B list for people who you would like to have but whose presence is not crucial. Send out invitations to the A list first. Then wait and see how many positive responses you get. This will enable you to start sending invitations to the B list.
