100% HAND-NET COLLECTION
SUSTAINABLE FISH COLLECTION - NO CHEMICAL USE 100% HAND-NET COLLECTED
RE-KNOWN FOR QUALITY HEALTHY FISH The safe methodology that we use is one of the main reasons that our customers commend us on always providing them with quality healthy fish.
Kenya Marine Center is well aware of the dangers of using crude live fish-catching methods on the marine ecosystem. Use of chemicals is detrimental to the fish as they are not only subjected to severe internal damage – killing them but their habitat is destroyed as well. To better help conserve and maintain our coral reefs and the ecosystem, we use traditional hand-net catching. TRADITIONAL FISH COLLECTION

100% HAND-NET COLLECTION We take full control of the entire fishing process and our fishermen are under strict orders and observation. The divers catch the fish one or several at a time using the barrier nets and scoop nets therein handling the fish from the reef in much the same way as we would remove them from the aquarium.
TRADITIONAL FISH COLLECTION
Our collection is strictly monitored to ensure the fish are collected in the right manner without damage to the livestock

Oxygenating the fish in bags ready for transit to the holding station. Transit time is very short since our station is a stone throw away from the fishing ground.

oft polyps make part of the beautiful structures that support thousands of the sea's organisms.
It is estimated that 25% of all marine life are supported by them! Technically, soft polyps are made of tiny animals called polyps and the skeletons they leave behind when they die. Kenyan regulations only allow for export of soft polyps. Soft polyp is the flowing malleable part of the reef which adds color and texture, also adding structure to the reef.

EXPORT SEAMLESS TRANSIT PROCESS ur location affords us short transit time from the fishing grounds to our saltwater aquarium systems. Moreover, we only use modern transport systems (trucks) fully equipped to sustain the livestock during transportation. From here on, our livestock are then acclimatized and quarantined as they await shipment. We have on board a marine biologist who constantly checks on their health. Once scheduled for shipping, the fish are not fed for at least 24 hours to help minimize the accumulation of waste during transport. Our UV-C filtration + Chiller system used to purify our packing water improve s our packing water quality and ensures that our fish survive the export ride.

We take all measures to ensure that only quality fish is shipped to customers. First off, ensuring that only quality water is used. Secondly, we also check that temperatures are controlled when transporting the fish and last but not least, we make sure that pure oxygen supply is available for the fish as this is the most sensitive factor for their survival. Our livestock is only handled and packed by skilled people who understand their needs. Our customer support is also always on standby from the point of order to the livestock arrival to our customers’ destinations.
