EXPERIENCES THIS WEEK

Aim, Shoot, Repeat: Why Archery at The Forest Adventure Centre and Restaurant Is Worth It

Some experiences surprise you in the best way and archery at The Forest Adventure Centre and Restaurant was exactly that for me. I expected a casual activity, but it turned into one of the most fun, engaging outdoor experiences I’ve had.

Tucked inside the beautiful Kereita Forest, this adventure spot feels like a quick escape from Nairobi’s busy pace while still being easily accessible. The archery experience is beginner-friendly but engaging enough for seasoned enthusiasts. The instructors are patient and encouraging, guiding beginners through safety basics, stance, aim, and technique before you start hitting targets.

Within minutes, I went from complete beginner to confidently aiming for the bullseye and yes, it’s incredibly satisfying when you land one! I loved how quickly the nerves turned into confidence. It’s a fantastic activity for friends, couples, families, or even team-building outings.

Beyond the fun, it’s surprisingly relaxing, focusing on your aim helps you unplug from everyday stress.

Tickets are KSh 1,450 for adults and KSh 1,350 for children, with equipment provided, so you just show up ready for fun. Booking is simple through KenyaBuzz What makes the experience even better is everything else you can do there. The centre is known as Kenya’s premier adventure destination, featuring East Africa’s longest zipline tour (2.2km across the forest canopy), plus activities like paintball, mountain biking, horse riding, footgolf, nature walks, tree planting, and team-building experiences. All these experiences are available to book on Kenyabuzz

There’s also a canopy-view restaurant serving great food, perfect after a day outdoors. Whether you’re planning a fun outing with friends, a family day, or even a team activity, archery here is a memorable way to unplug, challenge yourself, and enjoy nature. Honestly, I’d go back again.
