Jump Into Summer! Summer Reading Kick-Off! Kick off the Kenton County Public Library’s Summer Reading Club on Saturday, June 4! Jump into summer at all three locations. See calendar listing or www.kentonlibrary.org/92days for details.

Covington: Saturday, June 4, 1-4 pm

“Jump into Summer” with inflatables, free pizza, snow cones from Kona Ice, and a variety of fun and games. Free parking at the Midtown Parking garage across the street from the Library available for this event.

“Jump into Summer” with Bounce Houses, Chris Camp “the Whip Guy,” games and pizza! Free pizza served at 12:30 pm. Also, participate in a multi-library, generations-themed flash mob dance taught by Pones Inc. Arrive by 1 pm to learn the dance. Performance begins at 2 pm.

Erlanger: Saturday, June 4, 1-5 pm

“Jump into Summer” with bounce houses, the Bacchanal Steel Drum Band, pizza, games, and snacks! Free pizza served at 1 pm. Also, participate in a multi-library flash mob at 2 pm by getting here at 1 pm to learn the moves from Pones Inc.

Summer Reading Club Guidelines Families

• Pick up a Family Bingo card and complete the card for a chance to win a Cincinnati Zoo family membership.

Adults

• One winner will be drawn every week, win great prizes! • Earn one raffle ticket for every check out order receipt.

Teens (Grades 6-12)

• Visit www.kentonlibrary.org/92days or the Library reference desk to fill out entry forms. • One winner per branch will be drawn every week for prizes like: - Nintendo 2DS - Kindle Fire - Beats Headphones - Grand PRIZE at each branch: IPAD 2 • Enter by reading or listening to any book or magazine or attending programs.

Children (Ages 2-12)

• Pick up a book log and start reading or listening to books. • After 5 books or 2.5 hours of reading, return the log to the Library to win a book prize. • After 10 books or 5 hours of reading, return the log to receive a T-shirt or drawstring bag (while supplies last) and a raffle ticket for a chance to win the grand prize: an iPad mini. • Keep reading for more chances to win the grand prizes.

Neuterville Express Comes to Covington!

Low Cost Cat Spay/Neuter Program Tuesdays, June 21, July 19 & August 16, 6:30-7 am (drop off); Wednesdays, June 22, July 20 & August 17, 10 am (pick up) For cats only! The Ohio Alleycat Resource (O.A.R.) will be bringing their mobile spay/neuter unit to the Covington Library. Reservations are required by calling (513) 871-0185 to reserve your cat’s spot on the van! For Kenton County residents, cost is $30, which covers both the surgery and the required rabies vaccine.

Veterans’ Oral History Project*

Join in the Library’s efforts to collect the reminiscences of Northern Kentucky’s veterans. Interviews will be recorded and digitally preserved on the Library’s website and shared with the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress. Newport Aquarium Presents: Shark Cart

School Age Saturday, July 16, 1-2 pm The Shark Cart brings live sharks right to the Library! This program demystifies common misconceptions about sharks and gets you up-close and personal with these amazing creatures! In addition to the live sharks, there will be other shark items to see and touch. All participants will also be entered into a raffle to win a four-pack of passes to the Aquarium!
