Library’s Strategic Plan

Haunts and History

Sometimes things just intersect like Family History Month and Halloween occurring in October. The library’s Local History and •Kentucky.storiesDepartmentGenealogyisfullofspookyaboutNorthernDoyouknowwhyapenny is placed on the grave of Pearl •Bryant?Whydoes the Grey Lady supposedly haunt the Carneal House in Covington?

• How did the Kenton County Coroner identify bodies pulled from the Ohio River?

Fall is a great time to start working on those personalized gift items in the library’s makerspaces. Personalized rolling pins, embroidered blankets, 3D art, custom mugs...there are an abundance of items that you can make at the library for gift giving. Many at a fraction of the cost from what is available online. If you’ve never used the library’s makerspace or STREAM Center before, please schedule a visit to learn how to operate the equipment. As we move closer to the holidays, please make an appointment to use the equipment as this is one of the busiest times of the year.

LIFELONG

Lifelong andstimulatinglearning, imaginationanongoingpursuit of engaging the community in the importance of early childhood literacy are the three main components of the most recent library strategic plan. This plan was established based on feedback from the community, employees, community leaders and needs of future library users. To see the entire plan, visit the About Us section of the library’s website.
