Staff from the Local History and Genealogy Department are available to conduct veterans’ oral history interviews. Interviewees are required to fill out and return a pre-interview questionnaire and release form at least one week before their interview.

The interviews are recorded on video and a copy will be made available to the interviewee.

Veterans are encouraged to bring medals, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other items related to their service to the interview. To reserve your interview time, or to ask questions about the interview process, please contact Casey Blackmore at 859.962.4070.

Homeschool Event: Women’s History Month In celebration of Women’s History Month, we will be holding a system-wide event to showcase the research of our talented homeschool students. This is a two-part program. At the first session, students will be introduced to a number of women who have contributed to important events in history. Each student will then select a famous woman to research. ERLANGER: SAT., APRIL 4 • 10 AM-5 PM Join us for a day of genealogy with Dr. Michael D. Lacopo, a retired small-animal veterinarian born and raised in northern Indiana. He takes a scientific approach to his research as he does to his profession.

Researching since 1980, he has lectured internationally and written for numerous periodicals and journals. A self-described “all-American mutt,” his research skills cover a broad range. You won’t want to miss this one!
