Join public historian and speaker Christopher Miller, Director of Education at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, for this presentation about the movement of people of African descent to new destinations and subsequently to new social realities. These stories from Jamestown, Virginia, the Underground Railroad era, and the Nadir of African American history behold valuable social lessons that reflect courage, cooperation and perseverance.

In addition, this presentation will address the conditions and consequences of social legislation and its legacy.
