Covington Library, continued Great Parks Presents: Predators and Prey
School Age Tuesday, November 10, 4-5 pm Join us for a special edition of Science and Engineering Club! This week, a naturalist from Great Parks of Hamilton County will be visiting the Library! The program will be centered around predators and prey and will include many animal artifacts to touch, see and learn about.
‘Cans’ Film Festival Thursdays, November 12 & 19, 6-7:30 pm Join us in the Children’s Library for a family friendly film for a good cause! Your entry fee? A canned good for a local family in need. Don’t have spare canned goods at home? Not to worry! Simply earn one from our stock by reading for 10 minutes! Everyone Gilder Lehrman Civil War 150 Travelling Exhibit All month long in November, 9 am-9 pm This exhibition explores the Civil War, the most transformative period in US history. Drawing upon letters, personal accounts, and images, Civil War 150 invites Americans to understand how soldiers, presidents, freedmen, and families struggled to address the nature of democracy and citizenship, the human toll of civil war, and the role of a president in wartime.
Mitten Tree November & December During the months of November and December you are invited to help decorate the Mitten Tree at Durr Library with a donation of handmade scarves, along with hats, mittens or gloves. Items will be donated to Welcome House and Scarf It Up! of Northern Kentucky. Scarf It Up! gathers and distributes handmade scarves to inner city youth, homeless, the elderly and others in need.

The Library provides access to free 6-week online courses through Gale Courses (a savings of $120 per class).
