ERL: Through Sun.,11/11 In preparation for Veterans Day, the Erlanger Library will be collecting Thank You cards and letters to be sent to active military personnel and Veterans. They do not need to be in envelopes or stamped.

Illustrated Word Art Show Opening Reception ERL: Sun., 11/4, 2-3:30 pm The Kentucky Art Council presents the work of 29 spectacular Kentucky artists in this special traveling show “The Illustrated Word.” The art is inspired by the written word, including the use of words and letters in the work. Show runs through December 15th.

You Can Make It: Barrel Stave Votive Holder*

Teens celebrate Teensgiving at Durr!

NKY Teen Writing Contest: Kick-Off! ERL: Tues., 11/6, 6-6:45 pm Teens grades 9-12 are welcome to attend a kick-off event for a new writing competition sponsored by the Library, the City of Erlanger, and Joseph-Beth Booksellers. There will be pizza provided as we go over the rules with Mayor Tyson Hermes and gain extra writing tips with local authors Mike Due and Darryl Jouett. Writing Guidelines: 10-20 page short story or essay set in the NKY/Greater Cincinnati area. Open to Kenton, Boone, Campbell, and Hamilton County residents. Top selected stories will win cash prizes, and the chance to be published in an anthology — with a book signing at the Joseph Beth Crestview Hills location!

Kid Picks for Picture Book Month

ERL: Through Nov. Help us celebrate Picture Book Month all November long in the Erlanger Children’s Department! Kids can fill out a review card telling us about a favorite picture book and why they love it, which will then be used in future book displays!
