Ages 2-12 COV: Sun., Apr. 1Mon., Apr. 30 During the month of April children ages 2-12 are invited to participate in the “Library Candyland” Reading Challenge. Pick up a game board in the Covington Children’s Department. Complete the activities to win a small prize and a raffle entry.

Courageous Kids

Library Playgroup

The Reading of the Goats!

Ages 3-5 COV: Tues., Apr. 17, 10-10:45 am Come for stories and songs with Miss Amy and her ukulele followed by early learning stations to promote key early literacy, science and math skills, and kindergarten readiness all while having fun at the Library! This week, we’re reading all about goats as we get ready for Sunday’s Running of the Goebel Goats.

Homeschool Club: Butterfly Gardens

Preschool & School Age ERL: Tues., Apr. 24, 1:30-2:30 pm Homeschool students in grades kindergarten and up plan to get dirty planting seeds and learning about some of the plants that attract butterflies to our homes in the summer. At the end of the program, students will be taking home pots of planted seeds to grow and plant outside when the weather is warmer.

Authentic Japenese kites will be on display at the Durr Branch April through May. The kites are on loan from the Georgetown/Scott County Tourism Commission, Georgetown Historical Society and Yuko-En on the Elkhorn, the official KentuckyJapan Friendship Garden.
