The Ohio Alleycat Resource (O.A.R.) will be bringing their mobile spay/neuter unit to the Covington Library. Drop off your cat on Tuesday, March 15, between 6:30-7 am and pick them up on Wednesday, March 16, at 10 am. Wednesday, April 20, 11:30 am-12:30 pm Join the Teen Book Club for Homeschoolers! This month we are discussing “Hate List” by Jennifer Brown. Pick up a copy of the book at the Reference Desk.

Ages 2-12 Friday, April 1- Saturday, April 30 Children ages 2-12 are invited to participate in the “Be a Reading Ninja” reading club during the month of April at the Covington location. Beginning April 1, children can sign up and receive a bookmark and reading activity log. After completing the activities, they can return their completed logs to the Library to receive a prize and an entry in the reading raffle. Children may enter as often as they like through April 30 for more chances to win the raffle. The prize drawing will take place on Monday, May 2.

Science & Engineering Club: Home School Edition*

Library Playgroup

We’ll meet in the Children’s Activity Room and weather permitting, the children’s outdoor play area. The Library provides sensory friendly toys and books, coffee for parents and a small snack for the children. Siblings welcome.

Newport Aquarium Presents: Tide Pool Animals Saturday, April 16, 10:30-11:30 am Finish off Beach Week with Newport Aquarium as they bring the beach to the Library! Enjoy animals from the Aquarium’s tide pool exhibit (usually a horseshoe crab, sea urchin, sea star and a sea cucumber). Held during Early Childhood Literacy Fair.

Covington Library, continued Early Childhood Literacy Fair!

Families with Preschoolers and Younger Saturday, April 16, 10:30 am-1:30 pm Join us for the 14th annual Early Childhood Literacy Fair! Community partners will provide parents useful information about resources for young children while the children enjoy activities: Art from the Cincinnati Museum Center and the Contemporary Art Center, makeand-take learning stations (while they last), balloon animals, pop-up playdate stations, a visit from author Adam Watkins, a family concert with Grammy-nominated performer Zak Morgan and a FREE book for the first 300 children! First Steps will offer free developmental screenings for children 0-36 months that focus on cognitive, language, motor and social skills. The fair is made possible by the Kenton County Early Childhood Council with support from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood. Free parking at the Midtown Garage.

Exploring Nano Science Wednesday, April 20, 1-2 pm Even though we can’t see these tiny structures, we’ll do all sorts of experiments and explore the unique behavior of atoms and molecules on the nano scale. This program is one of Cincinnati Museum Center’s Programson-Wheels.

Monthly Minecraft Monday Monday, April 25, 6-8 pm Come play Minecraft at the Library! This program will be in the Durr Computer Lab. Attendance is limited to the first 15 teens.
