Tuesday, September 19, 6:30-7 am The Ohio Alleycat Resource (O.A.R.) will be bringing their mobile spay/neuter unit to the Covington Library. Drop off your cat on Tuesday, September 19, between 6:30-7 am and pick them up on Wednesday, September 20 at 10 am. Haunt Your Library Writing Contest

Grades 1-12 September 1-October 15 Enter an original poem or tale in the Library’s 15th annual spooky writing contest. Deadline for entries is October 15. Limit of 700 words. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded the week of October 23. Submit entries to the Covington Children’s Department or e-mail a Word document to writingcontest@kentonlibrary.org. Entries must incude child’s name, age, address, phone, e-mail address, school and grade level.

School Age Homeschoolers Wednesday, September 20, 10:30-11:30 am Experience the Shark Cart, a mobile aquarium with sharks, from the WAVE Foundation at the Newport Aquarium. The presenter will discuss sharks, their unique characteristics, the foods they eat, and their natural habitat. Children will have the opportunity to ask questions and touch a live shark!

Ye Olde Days Faire Saturday, September 9, 11 am-4 pm Celebrate the beginning of fall with a Medieval Faire at the Erlanger Branch Library. Enjoy artisans, a Royal Storytime, games, face-painting, hair braiding, pony rides, glass blowing, crafts, fencing demonstrations, birds of prey, and more. Please check online calendar for exact times of each program. They may change due to weather or demand. The Faire opens at 11 am and closes at 4 pm. Vendors will be open for entire event.
