Dedication - Maud Sullivan This year’s annual Giving Report is dedicated to Maud Sullivan, our friend, colleague, and master teacher, who retired at the end of the 2025-26 school year after 39 years of teaching at Kent Denver. Maud joined the school in 1987 as a French teacher dedicated to providing her students with an engaging, challenging and joyful language-immersion experience. Her teaching inspired numerous Kent Denver graduates to pursue French Studies through college and, indeed, beyond. In addition to her expert teaching, Maud served our community in numerous ways, including leading trips for our students to France, chairing our World Language Department, supporting our signature Ethics Day program from its inception, and eventually leading it. Please join us in congratulating Maud on her brilliant career as a master educator and wonderful colleague, and in wishing her the very best as she writes the next chapter of her life!

Excellence, Elevated Campaign Donors In 2024 we launched a 3-year, $35 million capital campaign intended to support our efforts to continue attracting and retaining the very best educators, maximize the potential of our storied athletic program, and renovate or expand critical teaching and learning spaces. As of September 17, 2026, our generous community has committed nearly $31 million to this effort. We are deeply grateful to those whose generosity is transforming the Kent Denver student experience, and plan to complete the campaign in June 2027. To date, we have renovated the Gates Science and Technology Center, opened our new Athletics & Wellness Center, and raised $2.5 million for the endowment. The new childcare center, located just behind Blackmer Hall, is expected to open in October 2026, followed by the completion of the employee apartment renovations (also in Blackmer Hall) in February 2027. We plan to begin the renovations of the Anschutz Student Center for the Arts and El Pomar Hall in the Spring of 2027, with completion planned by the end of the 2027-28 school year.

Au Soleil Society The Au Soleil Society was formed in 1998 to honor friends who have established a planned gift for Kent Denver School. The Society’s name is inspired by the Kent School’s motto of “Au Soleil” (up to the light), which encouraged students to set and achieve lofty goals.
