Wolf Show Stock Dispersal Sale Catalog

Welcome

It was March of 2017 when the desire to step foot into the Swine industry became a reality. Growing up actively showing in the industry had already planted a seed for my curiosity to be a part in it again in the future. I already possessed a passion for making good livestock, but a spark lit a fire to grow from just being in the Cattle industry, and I was waiting on my opportunity to take the first step. I’ll never forget how it all began as I stood with Jesse Heimer in Denver at the National Western Stock Show. It was a short 3 weeks later when Jesse called me on his way to Chosen One’s in Cedar Rapids, IA about a gilt he was selling that he thought might be my ticket to enter the Show Pig business. After discussion with family, the matriarch of our program was purchased. It seemed like everything grew and increased at a very rapid rate in just a short amount of time as we continued to invest in quality females to create a genetic base. We continued to hand select females that HH would offer, and then later, the Fecke Crossbred Top 50 was acquired. The learning curve was drastic and at a much faster pace than the Cattle industry, but we were relentless to produce high quality livestock no matter the price that had to be paid. It’s no secret to anyone in this industry the challenges that are faced to play this game at the most ELITE level. Due to the rapid growth, facilities have been outgrown, and the once project has now become a demand for more time and energy than we can give. Donor Solutions’ growth and the desire to keep that a priority is never something I want to put in jeopardy. Rather than continue as we are, I have great conviction that it’s in my families best interest to DISPERSE the sows at this time. As I mentioned the core group of females snowballed into a sizable sow herd, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that we are offering every single female to you in the WOLF SHOW STOCK DISPERSAL. ALL Sows, Bred Gilts, Open Gilts, and Replacement females on the farm will be offered to you in this DISPERSAL. We started with a genetic base of females, but I will tell you, it’s with conviction and purpose that we have built this herd from that group. We didn’t accidently generate a group of females like we have overnight. With a lot of time, resources, patience and intentional genetic pairings, we are offering you a deep, quality set of females. The last year and half has been very humbling in terms of the success that these females have generated in both the show ring, and in other people’s programs. We serviced these females on purpose to farrow when they will, and to the sires they are serviced to. We have made every decision as if we were keeping these females. We have complete confidence that these females can play a pivotal role in helping your Sow herd keep you in the hunt in raising ELITE livestock for Seedstock and Exhibition. In closing, I hope you join us and take the time these great females deserve to study the pedigrees and success stories. I can’t take the appropriate time to mention every single person that has helped us along in this journey, but there are a few people that I would never be where I am or would have accomplished near what I had without their guidance and most of all, support. My family, Jesse Heimer (and the ENTIRE HH Crew), Nick Berry, Todd and Blake Kennedy, Jay McCormick, Todd McGraw, Ron Fenwick, Steve Smith, etc. Each one of these individuals have played a tremendous part in helping us create this genetic offering. It’s not just a cliche used here when I say, it takes an Army. We look forward to seeing you and assisting you with your purchases! Best Wishes

KISS MY SOCKS X 172-11 : CALCUTTA X COLT 45 X SWAGGER BRED TO SNOOZE • DUE 7/18

There’s truly not a better female for us to offer you as Lot 1 than 12-8. She was our first purchase in the Showpig business and quickly became the cornerstone of our program. We selected her in the 2017 Chosen Ones Sale from Heimer Hampshires for $7,000. She quickly made her mark in both our herd and the industry by creating 2 litters back to back generating over $11,000 dollars each. Lifetime average of $6,250 generated per litter. She’s produced mulitple champions and high sellers from each litter. She breeds unique pieces and features into her offspring! If you study the catalog you will find numerous direct daughters and grandaughters! The qualities that make a female a DONOR are those as such: fertility, motherability, quality, and consistency! There’s a reason she’s the stone on which the house was built!

One of the 4 Dirty Secret daughters produced from 12-8’s second litter. Other than the three 14 litter females in the sale, their sister that paved the way in the show ring was 14-2. She was purchased online by Dylan Dent and was a Champion or Grand Overall 10+ times in Georgia. She was the Champion Heavyweight Gilt at the 2019 SE Regional. These 14 litter sows have followed in their Mother’s footsteps in terms of fertility, motherability, quality and consitency! 14-1 didn’t take long to make her own mark in our program as we retained the two 63 litter females in this sale from her first litter and her second litter produced $9,750 worth of pigs Summer of 2020 by King Size. McLaughlin’s showed a King Size Barrow this spring that was a class winner at The Alternative, TX. Intentional is gaining momentum after this spring’s pig sales and we thought we’d give him a shot at our best stuff - here she is!

LAST BOTTLE X 14-1 : DIRTY SECRET X KMS X CALCUTTA BRED TO NEIGHBOR BOY • DUE 7/5

Too many times in my experience with Cattle and Swine its the females like 63-5 that become consistent generators. We all love the show animals that hang a bunch of banners, but too many times its the balanced, extended, sound and functional females that get the job done. This female won’t win a beauty contest, but she’s got a lot of the great traits of her sire, Last Bottle. Mated right on time to make light cross or Southern Yorkshires! Don’t overlook this female, I’ll show you no remorse.

DOB: 2015

SUPER MONSTER CLONE X YELLOW HAMMER BRED TO OCHO • DUE 8/15

When we made the GIANT LEAP and invested into the Fecke acquisition, we had the right to the top 50 Crossbred sows on the farm. As of today, we can honestly say that entire purchase was justified by finding the generating power of 146-88. Her pedigree is just old and rare enough, and we couldn’t ask her to have made more of an impact than she has. One can say with confidence that 146-88 has also been a cornerstone we have built from as of late. In her first litter of Upper Class sired pigs, we sold 3 males to Jay McCormick for $7,500 and that day we decided we wouldn’t sell any mate Gilt’s. That litter would have resulted in the 48 litter bred females in this sale. Every litter following we had elected to keep the very best daughters and you will see that in the pair of 25 litter Gilts and the 66 litter GIlts. Every litter she has produced one or mulitiple winning show barrows! Much like a worthy female to build around, 146-88 does all the essential things well in order to build from a base: fertility, motherability, quality and consistency! Once again she had an outstanding litter of pigs in March by Kingpin! Don’t let her age bother you, she is worth the trip to West Lafayette in her own right!

Those barrows were extremely successful and the multi-champion Barrow shown by the Noe Family created quite a stir. 48-4 had a very good litter of Kingpin’s in November and produced a sale feature at Sweethearts this past February!

The Blue sow. We purchased 275-10 from Jesse the Summer of 2018 and she’s been a big part of our program and success ever since. Even after Jesse had sold 275-10, her daughters have continued to produce on The Hill. A daughter by HH 8-1 is the mother of Rae Rae that was sold for $35,000 to Final Drive Genetics last Summer. Shortly after purchasing 275-10, we selected 127-10 out of the slat barn. 127-10 was a direct daughter of 275-10 and was sired by 8-1 at HH making her a mate to the Mother of Rae Rae. Due to challanges in the pig business, she had a short lived stint here but in her first litter she produced 8-4. We retained just a few daughters when we could and now you have the chance to incorporate 275-10 and her daughters into your program!

The Champion Div. 1 Cross Gilt at the 2019 CA State Fair for Sami Col. She’s been impressive since the day she hit the ground and she’s continued to look the part just about every day of her life. She’s turned her show ring success into being a vital part of our sow herd in just her first 2 litters. If you study the two Kracker females retained from 8-4, you will see just how much bone, shape, mass and density she can generate. I challange you to find one bigger legged that is as functional as she is. My favorite Gilt from our January group was an Acoustic x 8-4 that Josh Rose wisely selected. I mentioned in the welcome letter that we started with a genetic base and then we have built from that, and I can honestly say females like 58-3 are ones we are extremely proud to offer you, but also it stirs some serious emotions to let one you have created go this way. The Berkshire breed has been extremely fun for us to branch out and try something new. We found one we thought was built incredible and different in an HH online sale as a baby pig. That same female, 375-7, went on to be Reserve Berkshire at OYE in 2020 for Cooper Maxwell. We elected to line breed her and use B354, making her pedigree read Family Jewels x OTL x Two Tone on top and bottom. That litter resulted in an incredible set of pigs. The most successful pig was a littermate to these 28’s and was a multi-champion for Kevin Gary Rogers and Dylan Pyatt. Notable accomplishments were Class Winner at San Antonio and Reserve Berkshire at Houston 2021. In closing these Berks are shaggy, modern, and functional!
