I can’t really believe it’s time for me to sit down to write the 5th welcome letter to invite everyone to take part with the Exchange Livestock Event. Last year, we were nearly back to normal with an awesome event held inside the ballroom at the beautiful Skirvin Hotel in OKC, OK. It was nice to have a few people there in attendance, but it was the amazing number of people who took advantage of the virtual aspect that was overwhelming. It was simply unreal the number of people who were driving tractors, working around the farms, listening in with their earbuds or camped out behind the computer for the afternoon in offices or the couch around the country to tune into the “GAME DAY”… It’s definitely back again with a kickoff at 1:00 P.M. hosted live by our friends at www.waltonwebcasting.com Last years sale was absolutely amazing! It couldn’t and wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for the breeders and people of the industry to make it all happen, that’s where it starts. I can’t say Thank You enough to all those who participate to make great things happen!So, the same question I hear every year, “What’s gonna be new ‘’? The ANSWER: It’s actually pretty simple; We’re going to offer opportunities, innovations and work with some of the best PEOPLE in the livestock industry to assist with gathering some of the most unique proven genetics, breeding innovations and resourcing the genetic technologies it requires to generate the highest level of success in today’s industry.

This years offering has as much diversity as anything we’ve put together. Outside of the Exchange being the only event of its kind to bring together elite genetics and the people behind them, we do it with four species and that is what makes it so unique!

We will showcase; Fresh and Frozen Semen packages both old and new from Boars, Bucks, Rams and a special Bull or two. Obviously, elite females with proven results in the showring or production results, as well as a few future donor type prospects and future banner winners. One aspect of this offering we’re so proud to highlight actually centers around one of the great partners with the Exchange since day one, Trans Ova. Their technology of cloning will be on display as a vital part of this year’s offering and future genetic progress for the industry. Like always, there’ll be a surprise or two I can’t tell ya about, you’ll just have to wait and see.

I can’t seem to say it enough, so I’ll do it again! I’ve been blessed to surround myself with some of the very best in the business to make the Exchange Livestock Event become a reality. These are not just acquaintances but some of my best friends. Once again, The Exchange Livestock Event has many shared industry partnerships with the likes of Trans Ova, D&D Trailers, The Slate Group, StockShow Secrets and the KV affiliates at Walton Webcasting and Showpig.com.

The Exchange Sales staff is loaded with industry excellence, clerk and live bidding platform with CCI.LIVE, auctioneer Mr. Kevin Wendt and emcee Dr. Mark Hoge. Multiple Industry leaders on the “Gameday Show” hosted

by Dave Guyer and Willie Kirkpatrick. Joining throughout the day will be Clay Zwelling of NSR, Glen Martin, Cooper Newcomb, Nick Fitzsimmons as well as a few guest appearances. This is an awesome group!

Oh, most importantly, “Everyone is invited to join us this year inside the amazing HARD ROCK CASINO in Tulsa, OK. Sit in live for the afternoon and watch the “GAME DAY’ show or cruise around the blackjack tables and listen to what’s being said from your handheld device. As the evening approaches, guy’s put on your jeans and a sports jacket and make your way inside the Hall of the event. It’s a night out. Let your spouse or significant other get all dressed up and come to the ball. Again, it’s Business Casual for the evening event.

I can’t hardly wait, but before I end I always say, “ I have the greatest personal support staff anyone could ever ask for, MY FAMILY! The support, guidance and push I receive from my family to do what I do is second to none. “I’m truly blessed to have been raised to be a part of an agriculture community and the livestock industry has allowed me to do what I do with PEOPLE like you”!

Health Every female in production is considered to be healthy, sound and in proper body condition. With that said, understand that age and production may have resulted in foot or toe defaults, body cuts, injury scars or other marks. The females in this offering have been fed and cared for by consignors as planned for farrowing on site. All questions regarding pre-breeding or pre-farrow vaccinations should be directed to the consignor of each female. No guarantee proclaimed on females. All announcements made on Sale Day supersede anything in print. Contact the Consignors directly for more information upon request. All females that are offered that have not been in production will be guaranteed to breed, be flushed or birth an animal once maturity allows.

Delivery The Sales Management Team will assist with making connections for relocation of sold females, however, All arrangements and fees are handled between the Seller/Buyer. Females must be relocated to the new owner within 30 days from the date of sale.

Payment ALL lots must be paid for directly to the EXCHANGE Management Team before being relocated. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted day of sale. Service Fees will apply.

Saleguarantees

Pregnancy Guarantee Each pregnancy will be guaranteed bred and passed to the sire advertised. We encourage you to visit with the consignor with any questions about prior experiences and other pertinent information pertaining to each female. Any females that are advertised as open will be guaranteed to not be bred.

Embryo Guarantee The sale guarantees that each embryo package consists of Grade One and/or Grade Two embryos that have been processed by a reputable source. All embryos offered are either ET or IVF direct thaw. On behalf of the sellers, there will be no low grade embryos or embryos offered from non reputable facilities.

Cloning Rights Some lots will be advertised with the privilege of “Right to Clone”, others may be announced on sale day.

Buyers will be guaranteed the purchase of DNA on said animal at the time of sale. The consignor is the owner of the cell line on said animal and this offering is the opportunity to utilize the cloning technologies at Trans Ova on a desired date determined between buyer/seller. The cloning procedure must be done at Trans Ova. On any purebred offered with “cloning rights”, the initial breeder’s name will remain as the breeder of current genetics being cloned. All DNA preserved is guaranteed by the owner to said animals.

Frozen Semen Guarantee The Frozen semen offered is guaranteed by each consignor to be that of said sire. Once the buyer has paid for the Frozen semen in full, it will be released to the buyer and available for pickup or transfer. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping/freight costs for shipping and return of the container. All transfer and service fees on frozen semen will be between the Buyer/Seller. The Exchange Livestock Event is in no way responsible for semen which has not been transferred within one year. All purebred sires will be available for breeding certificates. If storage is needed, may we suggest you work with SGI, Top Cut or CryoSires on swine or Trans Ova for other species.

Herd Sires The purchase/sell or interest in Sires offered must be guaranteed to produce live viable semen to settle females. Males do not sell with a guarantee to freeze semen at a said % level. The Exchange Livestock Event is not responsible for any certain number of doses or straws produced by any male. All males sold are guaranteed to dna match as provided with said identity. All current and future transactions of the males offered only are guaranteed with the buyer and said/listed purchaser at the Exchange on June 7th, 2022.

The Exchange Livestock Event encourages all studs and/or breeders to insure the value of purchases made.

379-12 is the VERY BEST OTL Daughter we ever raised at HH and her brother, the KC barrow is still one of the best Berkshire barrows we’ve ever seen show.

10-6 is a littermate to HOUSE OF CARDS (Currently at Shaffer Gold Rush) who sired the Champion Berkshire at ’22 National Western.

In the fall of 2018, just a few weeks after an OTL-sired Berkshire barrow 81-10 is a littermate to BRICK was just named Reserve Grand Overall at the American Royal, his HOUSE (HH) and a mate to the littermate sister was exhibited at the Fall Classic in Duncan, OK. She was Lancaster barrow that gathered shown by the Lacy family in TX and was named Champion Berkshire Gilt the big banner multiple times in the breeding hog show. HL Gibson fell in love (we already were) and in last summer. an effort to make sure we didn’t get in a bidding war, we agreed to buy her together. Since the day she arrived back on The Hill, she has been a hammer!

She has generated boars: B 354, HOUSE OF CARDS & BRICK HOUSE. Many of her gilts never had a chance to show because they were kept, but arguably her best gilt came in her very first litter. That litter, sired by Family Jewels resulted in the 354’s and 354-9 sold in the Fall Showcase to Goss & Wolf and is now most notably known as the mother of MAMA TRIED, the boar sold by Goss to Southern Superior Sires. She’s also been a barrow generator, highlighted by the barrow last summer that was Champion Berkshire Barrow at the Exposition, NJSS & the KY State Fair for the Lancaster family. Over the years, we have split gilts with HL and they’ve treated us both very well. Known as “Shorty” around here, she had quite the run as a show gilt for Bryleigh and Zane the summer of Covid. Gaining multiple banners and the Overall High Chester gilt point Exhibitor in the Backyard Bonanza before being named Reserve Chester multiple times behind her brother in live shows and finishing her career as Champion Chester and Grand Overall at the I-27 Pork Expo. Her gilt litter yielded multiple sale barrows at Houston and Austin and a couple gilts that did well at Oklahoma jackpots and Champion Chester Gilt at Muskogee.

“The Seidenberger Gilt” is a half-sister to 5-3 Stella listed above would be an elite young sow dammed by First Take’s mate sister.

She’s another sow just getting started in her productive life but had a very successful show career for the Seidenberger family being named Champion Chester and gathering multiple top 5 finishes in the Texas jackpots a couple winters ago. She completed her successful show career being named Champion Chester and Grand Overall Purebred gilt at the San Angelo Stars Gilt Show the year of the blizzard! HAPPY FEET was definitely the most influential SPOTTED Boar sire of his time. Before Loudmouth, nearly all the Champion Spots were sired by HAPPY FEET or one of his potent sons. Amazing what he did for the spotted breed! Producing multiple influential sons, daughters, and granddaughters’ that generated for herds across the country. The story of HAPPY FEET to this day remains one of the all-time greats. It was the HOT summer of 2011, Springfield,Il. This boar caught everyone’s attention from the time he arrived on the grounds. As the truck backed up towards the wash rack there was a boar climbing the sides of the wooden sideboards trying to get out. Shortly after, the tailgate opened and he jumped straight from the bed of a pickup and went skidding across the concrete. Fast forward, it’s showday and this boar finally made his way to the ring. He very quickly was pointed to the LAST place pen, luckily close to the out gate. His feet were in very bad shape; bleeding and bruised. However, if you could read past his mobility, this boar was tall shouldered, square knee, bold chest and had the most enormous spread across his back I’d ever seen. His mobility was suffering, BUT his toe spread was good, bones were unusually big for that era, his joints were clean, and hock was square. Come sale day we waited until the end for the last boar to enter the ring just as other key breeders gathered around to bid. When the gavel dropped, the plan was in play for HAPPY FEET to come to Oklahoma to breed a couple of Spots sows and maybe a Poland or two. Little did we know this genetic giant would write the book with his siring ability. After recovering from getting his pads heeled and toes growing back, he relocated to Jarrett Mays and the rest became Spotted history. HAPPY FEET would soon become a legend in the Spotted breed.

HAPPY FEET was a generational sire, his ability to work in multiple breeding scenarios was unmatched. From 2012 through 2016 there’s no telling how many champions he sired. Some most recognized was Ch.Spot at K.C., Ch. Dark OPB F.W. , Breed Champions at OKC, the Champion Berk, Poland, and Spot Barrows at Tulsa all in the same year, the Ch. AOB in A.N. (Chester), Res. Spot Dallas, multiple Champion Spot Gilts Tulsa, Ch. Chester OKC and Res. Tulsa, OYE Champ and San Antonio Res. Poland Barrows. 278-9, a direct daughter of Dirty Secret was Reserve in her Division at the 2017 Arizona National, in fact, she was beat in Division by the eventual Supreme Champion Gilt, another Dirty Secret daughter bred at HH. 278-9 eventually found her way back to HH just a couple of weeks after her mate barrow was named GRAND OVERALL at the 2018 National Western. When she was bred to King of the Hill (KOH) for her first litter, that mating represented one of the first, double-bred Dirty Secret matings at HH and the resulting litter included a Class Winning barrow at ’19 Rodeo Austin and his impressive brother that eventually earned the name KINGPIN! She followed that up with a litter sired by Rule 21 that included the Supreme Champion Gilt at the ’19 American Royal.

And then, for whatever reason after only two litters, she never bred again. Perfect health, perfect heat cycles, zero conception….for a really long time. Somewhere between not giving up and Kingpin’s rise to fame, we ultimately decided the best way to keep the fire burning was to clone 278-9.

To this day, after 100+ litters born out of him, 278-9 has always been this breeder’s favorite Dirty daughter and I’ll forever give her the nod when anyone asks why Kingpin looks and sires the way he does.

It was not easy to get the mother of Dash 8 bought from Heimer out of his slatted barn.

Just on build alone, she was one that I found and put at the top of my list. When he told me her pedigree, I knew she wasn’t going to be cheap, even IF I could convince him to sell her. Her sire, Blind Luck (Ante Up x Billy Bob) was a mate to the Grand Overall at KC in 2015 that Guyer’s showed. Her mother was the Verbatim x Roxy sow that he sold in the first Exchange to Rash and Wintex - the mother of Swingin’. As difficult as she was to buy, her pedigree made her a sure thing to own and the SOW POWER in Dash 8 genes is a big reason why he got his first chance.

The sire of Dash 8 is Stay Classy which stood at PBG…. Nothing else really needs to be said about that industry phenom from WTX other than he was lost way too early in life. Great pig, great pedigree from a great firm.

Dash 8 was used exclusively for Hilty and HH! With his first pig crop hitting the ground this past spring both herds generated several high sellers, but more importantly pens full of daughters. That first crop is feeding extremely well, and both firms have several key sows bred back to Dash 8 for summer litters.

She’s been on a pretty impressive roll here lately, and it doesn’t appear that she’ll be letting up anytime soon. In the Summer of 20’, she had a litter of Rusty Cage’s. We kept a calico colored barrow out of that litter and Weston took him to San Angelo. He will always go down as one of our favorite pigs my boys have ever shown. Although we don’t do it often, we bred her back the same way to make December’s that same year. In that litter, she produced SOUL at Bobell’s (who is also being offered in the Exchange), the Grand at Ohio in 21’, the Reserve Division 2 at Ohio, and Brantley Platt’s gilt that was 6th overall at North American in 21’. Most recently, she had Intentional’s in the Summer of 21’, which produced a 4th Place barrow for the Foster family at San Antonio and Knock Knock that is currently standing at SGI.

MADLYN’S SA BARROW THE KING X SECRET SOCIETY CLONES DUE AUG 14 TO AUG 16 If you need any indication on what I thought of this barrow, I cloned he and his mom after San Antonio. As a breeder, there are things about animals that just strike you and certain traits that you try and try to replicate. This barrow was the one we’ve been trying to make, and he was obviously well received by the guys at SA that I’ve got immense respect for. In a time where function seems to be an afterthought, I feel like there’s not a better time for one built the way this one was to inject his type into the population.

38-2 SECRET SOCIETY X DIRTY SECRET CLONES DUE AUG 7 TO AUG 9 38-2 looks in person like the best of our Secret Society sows always have. She’s extremely loose and heavy structured. Her mom was a direct Dirty Secret sow and is one of the wilder breeding pieces that we’ve had, which makes sense with how she has produced. We’ve retained daughters out of her, and they are certainly building blocks, but the highlight of her career was making Madlyn’s barrow that was Reserve Heavy Hampshire barrow at San Antonio this time.
