I can’t really believe it’s time for me to sit down to write the 4th welcome letter to invite everyone to take part with the Exchange Livestock Event.

Last year, everyone recalls we made the decision to adapt with the virtual aspect and man the feedback was amazing. It was simply unreal the number of people who were driving tractors, working around the farms, listening in with their earbuds or camped out behind the computer for the afternoon in offices or the couch around the country to tune into the GAME DAY… It’s definitely back again with a kickoff at 2:00 P.M. hosted live by our friends at www.waltonwebcasting.com The Sale was amazing! Again, it all starts with the people in the industry who are committed to breeding and sharing the very best in the industry.

I can’t say Thank You enough to all those who participate to make great things happen!

So, the same question I hear every year, “What’s gonna be new ‘’? The ANSWER: It’s actually pretty simple; we’re going to offer opportunities, innovations and work with some of the best PEOPLE in the livestock industry as we feel we once again have gathered some of the most unique, proven genetics, breeding innovations and and resourcing the genetic technologies it requires to generate the highest level of success in today’s industry.

This offering has as much diversity as anything we’ve put together.

Outside of the Exchange being the only event of it’s kind to bring together elite genetics and the people behind them, but to do with (4) Four species is what makes it so unique !

This year’s offering will showcase; Fresh and Frozen Semen packages both old and new from Boars, Bucks and a special Bull or two straight from the breeding pens. Obviously, elite females with proven results in the showring or production results, as well as a few future donor type prospects and future banner winners. One aspect of this offering we’re so proud to highlight actually centers around one of the great partners with the Exchange since day one, Trans Ova. Their technology of cloning will be on display as a vital part of this year’s offering and future genetic progress for the industry. Like always, there’ll be a surprise or two I can’t tell ya about, you’ll just have to wait and see.

I can’t seem to say it enough, so I’ll do it again! I’ve been blessed to surround myself with some of the very best in the business to make the Exchange Livestock Event become a reality. This is not just acquences but some of my Best Friends are a part of this industry and the greatest blessing is to continue to meet new ones everyday. As I previously mentioned, The EXCHANGE Livestock Event has shared industry partnerships with the likes of Trans Ova, D&D Trailers, StockShow Secrets and Walton Webcasting.

Health Every female in this offering is currently in production and is considered to be healthy, sound and in proper body condition. With that said, understand that age and production may have resulted in foot or toe defaults, body cuts, injury scars or other marks. The females in this offering have been fed and cared for by consignors as planned for on farm production. All questions regarding pre-breeding or pre-birthing vaccinations should be directed to the consignor of each female. No guarantee proclaimed on females. All announcements made on Sale Day supersede anything in print. Contact the Consignors directly for more information upon request.

Delivery The Sales Management Team will assist with making connections for relocation of sold females, however, All arrangements and fees are handled between the Seller/Buyer. Females must be relocated to the new owner within 30 days from the date of sale.

Pregnancy Guarantee Each pregnancy will be guaranteed bred and passed to the sire advertised. We encourage you to visit with the consignor with any questions about prior experiences and other pertinent information pertaining to each female. Any females that are advertised as open will be guaranteed to not be bred.

Embryo Guarantee The sale guarantees that each embryo package consists of Grade One and/or Grade Two embryos that have been processed by a reputable source. All embryos selling are either ET or IVF direct thaw. On behalf of the sellers, there will be no low grade embryos or embryos offered from non reputable facilities.

Cloning Rights Some lots will be advertised with the privilege of “Right to Clone”, others may be announced on sale day.

Buyers will be guaranteed the purchase of DNA on said animal at the time of sale. The consignor is the owner of the cell line on said animal and this offering is the opportunity to utilize the cloning technologies at Trans Ova on a desired date determined between buyer/seller. The cloning procedure must be done at Trans Ova. On any purebred offered with “cloning rights”, the initial breeder’s name will remain as the breeder of current genetics being cloned. All DNA preserved is guaranteed by the owner to said animals.

Frozen Semen Guarantee The Frozen semen offered is guaranteed by each consignor to be that of said sire. Once the buyer has paid for the Frozen semen in full, it will be released to the buyer and available for pickup or transfer. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping/freight costs for shipping and return of the container. All transfer and service fees on frozen semen will be between the Buyer/Seller. The Exchange is in no way responsible for semen which has not been transferred within one year. All purebred sires will be available for breeding certificates. If storage is needed, may we suggest you work with SGI, Top Cut or CryoSires on swine or Trans Ova for other species.

Herd Sires The purchase/sell or interest in Sires offered must be guaranteed to produce live viable semen to settle f emales. Males do not sell with a guarantee to freeze semen at a said % level. The Exchange is not responsible for any certain number of doses or straws produced by any male. All males sold are guaranteed to dna match as provided with said identity. All current and future transactions of the males offered only are guaranteed with the buyer and said/listed purchaser at the Exchange on June 1st, 2021. With that, I know it’s only a must to offer the industry such a special purebred Berkshire female. We were struggling with which Duroc female to offer in this event, and felt that this approach would offer the buyer the most opportunity and flexibility to come into our herd and find the Duroc bred female that would fit their farrowing window. In 2019, HH made two significant steps in an effort to rebuild their Hampshire position. Second, Top Gun was purchased from Norman Bros. and he quickly earned the opportunity to service the majority of the Hampshire sows on The Hill. A glimpse of the result of that effort could be seen in the show ring at the American Royal or the Western Regional or even at the 2021 San Antonio Gilt Show. However, in order to have a full appreciation for what transpired, you would have to make the trip to Taylor, Missouri and study the group of mature Hampshire gilts running around in a dirt pen at the south farm. This contemporary group of females is beyond exciting and their collective future represents a tremendous opportunity to improve the Hampshire breed.

Therefore, with coming off a remarkable 2021 OYE we decided why not go with the most proven thing we had. Here’s the deal, we’re allowing the buyer to pick any female of choice from the litter out of our “No Clue” sow that raised the Champion, Reserve and 3rd Overall Polands at OYE in 2021. The Champion Poland Gilt is not only recognized as the Reserve Supreme Overall gilt at the OYE, but also has the title as the Record Selling Poland female of all time at $60,000.

The mother of this litter is a “No Clue’’ which is the Rain Dance boar at TKO Genetics. She is out of the Champion at OYE in 2018 and then raised the Champion at Tulsa in 2019.

This late summer litter will be sired by, “Black Mamba”. The gilt selected by the buyer will be full sibs to all of the OYE gilts from 2021.

We have never offered a consignment in the Exchange before because we never felt like we had “the one” we wanted to offer up to sell. Well, this one had one heck of a run with her very first litter. She is the mother of the Hooper Barrow we sold at PT’20 that was Champion Poland Barrow at 2021 OYE. I’ve had several friends, fellow breeders and a few haters even tell me that he won for fun or he was the best one they have seen in some time! She is also the mother of COBRA , one of the elite All Due Respect boars that Premium Blend bought privately off the farm. She is no doubt one of the most unique individuals as far as the way she’s built and constructed. She generates powerful polands that will be the absolute freakiest fronted animals in the barn. Besides that, a truly productive female! She has had two litters, cycles and breeds the first time of service. She may look a little skinny in the picture but that’s because she weaned another big stout litter and bred right back.

We were fortunate enough to purchase back 8-9 and her littermate sister 8-7 after their show careers and they have no doubt had a lasting impact on our operation. 8-7 is the Mother of Kracker (HH), King Ranch No Introduction (SGI) & Grand Overall 2020 Arkansas State Fair. 8-9 certainly has not taken a back seat in our mind as we have stockpiled keeper gilts most recently out of Next Intention & Crickets. Her Next Intention litter last Fall was very well received including a pair of gilts that garnered $11,000 & $7,500 and were purchased by very prominent breeders. I think it’s worth noting that 8-9s littermate DIRTY SOUTH has had a lasting impact in our sow pens with him being the sire of the dam of our Grand Overall @ 2020 Missouri State Fair who was actually a Dirty South x Dirty South as well as our Grand Overall @ 2020 NAILE. To me 8-9 is the Female that most closely resembles her mother 12-37 in terms of build, athleticism & youthful skeleton. Raven’s pedigree traces back to the grandma of them all Candy, the red-belted sow acquired from Ottenwalter that was a (Warfare X Pump It Up) .

That sow raised many champions and left her mark embedded in our sow herd with females still in production today. Candy’s last litter at Sites Livestock was the great set by Best Man, in which we retained 3 daughters while another littermate went on to win Grand at the Western Bonanza.

One of these Best Man daughters became known as Randi. That sow produced Antidote, the $40,000 Res Champion Crossbred at WPX 2017, as well as another littermate being named the Res. Champion Dark Cross at the California State Fair. Following all that, Randi later had the Secret Society litter which Raven was kept back to carry the torch for the bloodline. In the spring of 2020, Ravin farrowed a litter by the popular HH boar WAGS. One of her barrows was named the 2020 American Royal Grand Champion Barrow. She followed with another very impressive litter in the fall allowing to secure more daughters for the herd. It appears she’s gonna stamp herself as a true generator. We feel fortunate that she sells bred to WAGS again for Aug. 5th, making her litter she’s carrying now full matings to the K.C. Grand last year. We feel that she is truly a unique individual offering a pedigree that combines some of the most powerful genetic influencers to date combined with a mothering ability that is second to none.

We absolutely love how youthful he appears in his maturity and how it translates to a near perfect kind of heavy bone structure that’s still clean and flat, not coarse and round. We think as we analyze all the good this one offers and his parentage it becomes pretty obvious this one can do it all and be capable of generating winning show barrows, as well as females and potential boars that turn into exceptional breeding stock material, just as some of the other ARK bred boars have had such a lasting impact on the industry!
