Certified Sustainable Eyewear

Paradigm is committed to sustainability, and that’s never been more clear than with our latest releases. Beginning with new models released in 2022, both Paradigm sun and optical styles are made using ISCC-certified recycled acetate.

ISCC is a global independent auditing group that certifies our recycled materials throughout the entire supply chain, so you can feel confident you’re making a purchase that truly supports sustainable practices every step of the way.

We’re proud to partner with Eastman & Mazzucchelli to offer frames made using these revolutionary sustainable materials.

Utilizing Eastman’s innovative carbon and polyester renewal technologies, we’ve incorporated their new proprietary materials, Eastman Acetate Renew and Eastman Tritan Renew, throughout our Paradigm collection. The quality and performance is identical to traditional acetates, so you’re still getting the superior quality you’ve come to know and love from Paradigm.

The Eastman Acetate Renew flake we use for our acetates are comprised of 40% recycled plastic and 60% bio-based content (wood pulp) from renewable resources.* Our sun lenses are environmentally friendly too, made with the Eastman Tritan Renew material, containing 50% recycled plastic and 50% virgin tritan material.*

Mazzucchelli, specializing in the production of cellulose acetate, utilizes these raw components from Eastman to create beautiful, unique acetate sheets for our newly released product.

Partnering with these organizations and utilizing ISCC-certified recycled materials enables us to reduce the amount of newly produced plastics, while also tackling the ever-growing problem of plastic waste. Furthermore, our ISCC governing body ensures there is transparency throughout the production process, constantly monitoring our materials to combat green washing. Even our frame cases are made with recycled materials, too! If you ask us, sustainability has never looked this good.

These playful sunnies brighten up any outfit and go great with a little sand between your toes. The fully acetate square shape is paired with colorful round lenses for a fun and funky juxtaposition that offers great sun coverage. Plus, the three punchy colors are both trendy and unisex.
