Salmon Brook Historical Society members are in for a rare treat at the annual meeting and dinner April 29: entertainment by the Insurance City Chorus, a barbershop singing group from West Hartford that’s been setting toes to tapping for 70 years! The chorus will present a 12-minute movie on the history of barbershop music in America and then will sing for 45 minutes to an hour. The annual meeting and dinner is Tuesday, April 29 at the Methodist Church in West Granby. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m. Dinner is at 7 p.m. The annual business meeting is at 8 and the lively entertainment will follow. Tickets are $20 per person. Checks and the coupon in this newsletter should be sent to Bill Ross, 239 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, CT, 06035. Please indicate on the coupon whether you want vegetable lasagna or stuffed shells with tomato sauce. And please get your reservations in early to help the church plan the dinner.
