Once again, I am very pleased to be working with the Stigings to present their 7th Annual Bull Sale. This family is very hard working one with one goal in mind: to produce very functional cattle to raise for themselves and their bull customers. This year’s offering is the best yet to date.

Riverside Angus is a program that continues to go in the right direction acquiring top end herd sires to go with their strong foundation cow herd. The consistency in the line up brought to town shows this exact statement. The bulls are fed in a large pen with do ability and exercise kept in mind. These bulls travel well while having the size and haircoats we all desire.

On behalf of everyone here at Riverside I would like to welcome you to our Annual Bull sale Tuesday April 8th 2025 at the Innisfail Auction Market. As I sit down to welcome you all to our 2025 Sale Offering it always feels very cliché to say this is set of bulls is the best we have had to offer to date but the stars have truly aligned this year and an exceptional set of bulls awaits your appraisal.
As our AI and Embryo programs gather momentum we are excited to be able to offer more genetics other than that of our outstanding walking herd sires HF Spittin’ Image 165J and LLB Brady 584G, on offer we have, sons sired by J-Trademark, Schiefelbein Showman 338, Ellingson Three Rivers 8602. All of these sires knocked it out of the park this year, each of these sire groups are exaptational, moderate birth weights with explosive gains at both weaning and yearling weigh ins. We do believe we have a bull to fit everyone needs.
As we continue to grow our numbers in our Red program this offering does not disappoint we are very confident with the quality in our red pen are very excited to present our 3rd offering of the Red Riverside Bulls all backed by some of the most outstanding Red genetics from well-established repatriable herds in the Red Angus Industry.
The Bull pen this year continues to express without a doubt what we strive for in our own herd. Our mama cows are honest and hard working. They’re easy fleshing, sound of foot, with exceptional udders all traits that are all extremely important to us when we are choosing replacements or adding a new Herd Sire.
As always, the bulls are fed a TMR ration consisting of a Pea Barley Silage Mix, Straw, Barley and a Malt Sprout Pellet, along with a specific mineral premix that matches their needs specifically. The bulls are raised in a large pen with plenty of room to move and naturally build muscle. All the Bulls will be Semen tested as well as Vaccinated with Bova-Shield Gold as well as 8-way.
We always enjoy a good visit whether it is with past or future buyers and would love to tour you through the bull pen and mama cows, the coffee is always hot and the beer is always cold and visitors are always welcome.

The biggest ribbed, deepest made bull we have ever raised. 88M stands on a very good set of feet that allow him to move around the pen very freely for a bull with his dimension and shape. His dam is a very productive, well made female. Her 3 bull calves have ratioed 106 at weaning and they have been very well received by our customers in previous sales. Her only daughter just calved and has a very nice udder. 88M has a great disposition. He is halter broke and was a part of our show sting last fall. If you want a bull that you can turn out with your heifers and not have to worry about them calving, 155M is your guy. With just a 60 lbs BW and a 753 lbs WW, he’s going to calve easily without sacrificing any performance. His grand dam is our great 20Z donor. His dam carries the same characteristics she does, excellent feet, very good udder and incredibly productive.

This guy had a bit of a hard go off the start as his dam casted herself in the pasture. We put him on a first calf commercial heifer and he excelled from there. 238M has a great disposition and puts everything together real well. Deep ribbed, smooth fronted and excellent footed. His dam was one of our very best cows; she raised the high selling bull a few years back as a first calver.

130M is a bull you are sure to find on sale day. He is a maternal brother to the high selling bull in last year’s sale that sold to Jeremy Heistad. We were fortunate to be able to use him on a select group of heifers and his calves are very impressive. 130M’s dam is continuing to succeed. Her first two calves have ratioed 110 at weaning and continues to calve early in the first cycle. If you have larger framed heifers don’t be afraid to have a look at this guy.
Very similar to his brother, safe to use on heifers. This bull will catch your eye every time you walk in the pen. This guy is going to stamp his calves with hair and eye appeal.

A sure fire heifer bull out of a very good young female. This bull has a bit of a different twist on his dam side being out of a Donna female. His dam was a product of an embryo purchase. Her and her two flush sisters are building a cow family at Riverside. They are giving us bulls that excel and daughters that are very tight uddered who milk hard and maintain condition.

A low birthweight Spitting Image bull that is sure to catch your eye. Every year, come bull sale time, there is one cow that seems to have her calf marked high on everybody’s list and that is 124B. That cow is affectionately known at the farm as Kami. Year after year, no matter if she has a bull or a heifer, it turns into one of the best in the pen. We have found that Spitting Image breeds very true to his type. His daughters have very good udders, are easy to handle and are very good moms.
Another impressive son from from Spittin’ Image, this mating has worked very well with his full brother selling to Darin Hageman last year. 13M carries the same attribute his brother did last year he is big ribbed, big hipped, and big nutted. His dam is the Granddam to our high selling bull last year RIverside Major 130L and has a Showman grandson in this year’s offering.

If you like your calves to have expressive muscle shape this is your bull. He is the natural calf of the 180J donor. If you compare the picture of 180M to the picture of his sire as a yearling, they are extremely similar. 180M stands on a very good foot.
Another product of a cow we purchased at the Reid dispersal. 04M’s dam is a cow that is picture perfect in her design. This bull is extremely smooth and good footed. He’ll be a good out cross option for our long time customers.

A bigger birth weight bull with lots of style. His dam is one of our most docile cows. She has a son working at Red Lodge Guest Ranch; some of the commercial heifers in the sale will be sired by him. This guy will be an udder improver.
This will be our last set of Brady sons as we unfortunately lost him to a shoulder injury. 122M is super smooth made out a very productive No Doubt daughter. She has a very tight, clean made udder.

We selected this guy’s dam at the Ladies of the West sale from our good friends at Pieschel Farms. Terry has wanted a Cheetah female for a long while and we finally got a hold of one. This bull is stout made and well built. He puts everything together very well. His first calf dam weaned him off at 708 and maintained her condition well.

We believe this is one of the most unique Red Angus breeding bulls we have bred. When you start analyzing this bull’s pedigree and phenotype it is hard to find a fault. His maternal great grand dam is none other than the dam of SAV Renovation 6822. His dam was a fantastic young donor in our program that we lost way too soon. Fortunately, we did get one daughter out of her that is a look alike to her dam. 200M is stout made with lots of depth of body and a fantastic foot. A big time heifer bull. 403M is a bull we are very confident in and feel he is going to move the breed in a positive direction. His foot quality, dark red hair coat and beautiful dam gives us the confidence that we can use him in our program to move us in the right direction. He is going to calve extremely easily. He is super smooth fronted with lots of natural muscle. We believe that a bull’s biggest feature should be the cow he’s out of and 108K is just that, a feature cow in our program. We showed this guy, alongside his dam, throughout the fall. We were honoured to be awarded champion 2 year old pair at Olds Fall Classic.

Our only black red carrier in this year’s offering. A heifer safe option out of one of our Red Angus donor cows. This bull has loads of style and a good foot. His maternal brother was our high selling bull in 2023 to Edgar Farms. I was fortunate enough to go in and watch their steer calves sell this fall and what a set of calves it was! They topped the market that day. It was fantastic to see long time customers succeeding with our genetics.

If you’re looking for a bull to improve feet this guy will do it. His sire puts excellent feet on all of his calves. A full sister to 413M was sold in Ladies of the West in 2024 to Reverse GC Angus.
A sleep all night heifer bull, super stout with lots of hair and a great disposition. A picture does not do this guy justice. His dam was purchased through the Mavv Red Angus dispersal. I didn’t get down to the sale because of the weather but I’m glad I was able to rely on Buck to go through the cows and steer us in the right direction. They are sure working in our program.

This past fall we had the opportunity to purchase a package of heifers from Dale and Wendy Bradshaw of Red Lodge guest Ranch, as well as a package from Jeramie Hiestad. We got the very best heifers out of both programs; they held zero back for themselves. All of these heifers are sired by Riverside Angus bulls and have been developed on an oat and silage TMR. They will come palpated and fully vaccinated.

Welcome to the 2025 Riverside Angus 7th annual Bull Sale! All of the bulls at Riverside Angus farm have had a complete herd health check and semen evaluation prior to the annual sale.
This herd health program begins prior to these bulls being born. All the cows on Stigings farm receive a Bovi Shield Gold FP5, Bovilis Covexin Plus, and Scourbos 9 at pregnancy checking time in the fall as well as Ivermectin pour on. This maintains the overall health of all the cattle present on the farm, which in turn provides a headstart on the immunity of these bulls before they even hit the ground.
At birth, all calves receive Inforce 3. Followed by 2 doses of Bovi Shield Gold FP5 and Vision 8 Somnus. These are administered at pasture turnout and weaning in the fall. They all receive Ivermectin in the fall and in the winter a treatment for lice control if needed.
We are grateful for being able to work alongside Stigings Family to provide the group of outstanding bulls. Everyone at Riverside Angus continuously goes beyond in their care of all the animals on the farm. They provide excellent service to each person that purchases one of these bulls. • Bulls will be displayed at the Innisfail Auction 1 day before the sale and have Lot numbers according to the catalogue
• The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable par at the sale location.
• Registration Papers – All animals will sell as registered and the papers will be transferred to the new owner after payment has been made.
• All bulls will sell under the CAA standard Terms & Conditions.
• All announcements from the sale block will take precedence over the printed material in the catalog.
• Insurance: the consignors would like you to insure the bulls, an insurance agent will be available sale day.
• Delivery: the consignors will work with the new owners to deliver the bulls free of charge if assistance is needed. If taken sale day you will receive $100 off your purchase price.
• Any bulls remaining at either farm after May 15th will be charged $4.00 a day unless prior arrangments have been made
• Sale day weights and scrotal measurements will be available sale day and all bulls sold will have passed a semen test and fully guaranteed.
• All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk and the owners, sale management and sales staff assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for property loss or any accidents that may occur.
