WELCOME It is my pleasure to invite you all to the 1st Annual Ladies Of The West Bred Heifer Sale. I created this sale with a vision of marketing top end bred heifers from Western Canada. The reception when visiting with my team and then the clients involved was overwhelming and knew this was a good opportunity for all involved.

The females that have been selected are right from the top of the consignor’s programs. I had lot of discussion with each of the consignors when touring that was very interesting thinking of game plans for each operation. The offering put forth are some of the best genetics you will find in the land. When going through the catalog take note of the services to this group of bred heifers, top end coupons in these females. We all talk about ROI and you have a chance to do that for your herd. We will be pairing up bred heifers from each of the consignors where we can, so you get to pick and choose after the gavel falls. Some consignors with odd number of females will sell them individually.

Her 20A dam is a deep bodied cow with a big spring of rib and a feminine front. She consistently produces standouts with another top heifer calf this year and still has an excellent udder. 20A is a maternal sister to the heifer calf Chico donated to the Alberta Junior Angus Assoc. That calf went on to be the Champion Yearling at the CJAA Showdown and then was named the World Angus Forum Young Guns Champion 2 Year Old Pair. When you analyze the three All-Round daughters offered it becomes obvious that they can all be described in the same way - they are just that consistent in make up. Big bodied, deep ribbed, angular fronted, with exception foot and leg structure. They all have the excellent disposition of their sire and are making excellent udders. 24H’s dam is sired by the Poplar Meadows Aberdeen bull who produced a great set of offspring. 24A is a deep, big bodied cow with an excellent udder and feet and is beautifully fronted. She is very attractive, easy doing with excellent feet and huge volume. She has the same excellent disposition and is dropping a very good udder. She is one that certainly is a show string candidate. Whether in the heifer calf pen or in this summer’s pasture she was appreciated by all visitors. 36H’s dam 16A is a moderate famed, big ribbed, angular fronted cow that is a favourite. She is from the very strong Keepsake cow family that has produced many top bulls and females. Note all four Chico lots were pictured & videoed straight from pasture. They are truly easy doing. Chico Honolulu 35H is Chico’s Junior herd sire 35H is a very complete, attractive son of Musgrave 316 Stunner from the Justamere Andee cow family. A great addition to anyone’s program looking to add some depth of body, power and performance to their herd. 45H is out of a great cow family that we have built a lot of our herd around, her dam is a Brooking Bank Note daughter that we showed as a heifer calf and bred heifer. What we admire about all our Bank Note genetics is the awesome foot and udder they all have and 45H has carried on that tradition.
