Established in 1919, The Evans at Canal Shores is a historic, community-centric golf course nestled in the vibrant neighborhoods of Evanston and Wilmette For over a century, our course has charmed and challenged golfers of all ages, fostering unforgettable experiences on and off the fairways.
We are thrilled to announce that the course will reopen this year with all 18 holes fully restored, following an ambitious renovation project. This transformation not only enhances the course’s playability but also reinforces our commitment to youth golf and community engagement. Highlights include a new youth golf facility near our clubhouse and the establishment of a caddie academy, ensuring a legacy of learning and accessibility for generations to come

Golf Outings
Whether you are a small group of 16 or a larger group of up to 80, The Evans at Canal Shores is a fun and special venue to hold your next golf outing Our friendly staff is here to handle any needs you may have and to make your day special at our newly renovated course.
Our golf outing packages offer:
Personalized player greeting and cart staging by golf staff
Information fact sheet on every cart customized with your company logo
Post golf scoring by The Evans at Canal Shores golf staff
Setup and collection of on-course contests (Closest to Pin, Long Drive, etc )
Custom signage available to put on the course (banners, flags, company sign)
Tables for on course activations
Additional carts for volunteers
Post round closest to pin and or long putt contest just off the patio
Access to preferred vendors for food & beverage, tents and linens
Golf Outing Packages
“The Jans” Tee Time Package
Weekdays (Monday - Thursday): $50/player
Weekends (Friday - Sunday) and Holidays: $55/player
Available for groups of 16 or more and includes:
Greens fee - Carts not included ($21 additional fee per person)
One drink ticket per person
$5 in golf shop merchandise per player
On course special events and event scoring
“The 1919” Shotgun Package
Weekdays only (Monday - Thursday): $70/player
Available for groups of 40-60 and includes:
Greens fee - Carts not included ($21 additional fee per person)
Two drink tickets per person
$5 in golf shop merchandise per player
On course special events and event scoring
Professional bag drop, and cart assignment signs
Shotgun start time options of 8am or 1pm
Lunch or dinner available based on preference and timing
A course buyout fee of $10,000 is required to reserve exclusive access to the course for the entire day.
Special Events on the Patio
The patio at Canal Shores is the ideal outdoor location for your special event - birthday parties, graduations, reunions, corporate events, family and friend get-togethers, proms, you name it! Whatever your event, our team is ready to welcome you on the patio. The opportunities are endless for what your ideal party can be.
While we do not have a kitchen on site, we offer a list of preferred vendors or you can bring in your own caterer. Please inquire for more information.
Our special event packages offer:
Full bar service - open bar, tab bar, cash bar or any combination
All alcohol must be purchased through The Evans at Canal Shores
Chairs and tables
Tent rental for an additional fee
Patio rental fee: $200 per hour
Bartender fee: $25 per hour
Open bar fee: $22 per person (plus 18% gratuity)
