WHYBLUEMASH?
Blue Mash Golf Course, listed as one of the Top Ten rated courses in the Washington area by Golf Advisor, provides players a unique golfing experience. Designed by world-renowned architect Arthur Hills, Blue Mash features a mix of links-style, parkland, wooded and water holes. There are no forced carries, so the course is player-friendly for all skill levels. Our clubhouse veranda provides you and your guests a 180 degree view of the golf course.

INCLEMENTWEATHER&RAINPOLICY
There are many variables that go into a delay of play, postponement, or rescheduling. We treat every outing as though it’s a PGA Tour sanctioned event and these decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Players should therefore plan on arriving to the course as scheduled.
As an outdoor activity, it is expected that play will take place as weather-related decisions are made the day of play. Only in cases of extreme weather conditions, again on a case-by-case basis, would a postponement be made in advance.

1 Light to Moderate Rain Showers – Play will take place as scheduled The tournament will be billed for players who signed up but did not play
2 Heavy Rain & Lightning – If sitting water/puddling becomes prevalent greens, and or if lightning is in the immediate area the following would occur:
a If these conditions exist prior to your official start time, play would be delayed until conditions improve
b If the tournament is underway, play would be suspended Players would then be directed back up to the clubhouse area Play would be delayed until conditions improved

We have carts to accommodate a standard field of 132 golfers. For fields larger than 132 golfers, Blue Mash will rent carts, the cost of which will be charged to you on your final bill.

In addition to the restrooms in the clubhouse for use at the turn, portable facilities are accessible from holes 2, 3, 6, 8 on the front nine and holes 12, 13, and 16 on the back nine.

For a banquet, we have 18 rounds that seat 8 per table for a total seating on the veranda of 144 We have ten rectangular tables: six that are 6-foot in length; two that are 8-foot long, and 2 that are 4-feet in length These are used for player check-in, silent auction and raffle prize display, sponsor presentation, and at the tee box as needed

We do have several coolers that can be used on the veranda for non-alcoholic beverages If coolers are needed on the course during play the tournament needs to provide

NO. We comply with Montgomery County liquor license requirements that any alcohol on our property be purchased through us. This includes gift baskets, etc. We are happy to order liquor for use in gift baskets with you paying our cost. Also, no Jell-O shooters, beer or liquor shots anywhere on the course may be served unless by a member of the Blue Mash staff. We can provide staff who has been certified through the State’s Alcohol Awareness Program. The per hour rate is $35 per server.

We are happy to help hang signs, etc. on the veranda in a way that protects the walls and surfaces.
Canwesetuptentsand/ortablesontheteeboxes?
In order to maintain high quality playing surfaces on the golf course, all tents, tables, etc. may be placed next to, and for most holes, on the tee boxes, outside the field of play.
We ask that all signs and equipment be dropped off 24 hours in advance of the outing. Please mark each sign as to the hole or location it gets placed. We will take it to each hole in advance of the start of the event, and volunteers can then go out to set-up tents and arrange tables and chairs within the designated area.
