Carbon Management Who we are

Our Commitment

Keltbray is a UK-leading specialist in construction engineering and a major civil services group. We are at the forefront of delivering sustainable, innovative, and high-performance solutions. Our purpose is to redefine the way sustainable development is delivered.

Climate change is one of the most urgent sustainability challenges of our time. Carbon management underpins Keltbray’s core purpose to redefine the way sustainable development is delivered.

Based on our collective and multidisciplinary experience, we focus our integrated services on solving customers’ engineering challenges in a rapidly changing world. Working in partnership with our stakeholders, we are actively contributing to economic growth, social advancement, and environmental protection.

Keltbray has calculated and verified our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions through the Science Based Targets Initiative and outlined our strategy for carbon reduction in the Carbon Reduction Plan. Though not an asset owner, we recognise our role in driving carbon reduction. We are committed to being a proactive contractor, collaborating with stakeholders to: – Understand our client’s ambitions, beliefs and drivers which lie behind project scope requirements – Align with project carbon goals and sustainability strategies. – Promote continual improvement through workshops, lessons learned and transparent reporting

– Identify and challenge clients to adopt practical reduction measures, where use of lowcarbon materials and efficient construction methods are implemented considering programme, practicality and cost – Encourage and support suppliers to deliver lower-carbon solutions

PAS 2080 Certified Keltbray has held PAS 2080 certification for over two years, demonstrating our commitment to consistent, transparent carbon management. Our audit confirmed: – Leadership & Governance: decarbonisation embedded in policy, strategy and culture, supported by senior leadership. – Carbon Management Process: clear procedures for identifying reduction opportunities during pre-construction and tracking emissions. – Competence & Training: ongoing investment in training and incentives for decarbonisation. – Continual Improvement: regular reviews, sharing of case studies, and influencing the wider industry through collaborative research. This accreditation confirms carbon management is central to our operations, independently verified against global best practice.
