Seattle Design Festival: Assembled Voices
Mahlum in partnership with Cornerstone General Contractors and Coughlin Porter Lundeen, 2023
As designers begin to hold more conversations around justice, equity and inclusion, we want to translate the idea of “identity” into the built environment. CURIOSITY leads to a greater understanding of one another and reveals those who are often unseen. The differences of the Seattle community can be physically represented through their voices as they become part of the pavilion. We are celebrating independence, personal storytelling and the identity of each person through their written word. By the end of the exhibition this collection of voices and lived experiences assemble together to create physical space, rendering the unseen into occupied space. Surrounded by diverse perspectives, CURIOSITY is spurred by the variety of answers to the question “What is your favorite memory?” Allowing the visitor to witness personal stories, find commonalities, discover differences and reflect.

Homewood Mountain Resort
Olson Kundig in partnership with JMA Ventures & Discovery Land Company, 2021
Homewood resort, located in Truckee California on the slopes of Lake Tahoe, is a multi-phased hospitality development. This developer-led project aims to maximize the beautiful landscape of the mountainside while accommodating generations of families for years to come. Families have the option of purchasing a spacious private condo or visiting the luxurious resort hotel. All while accommodating ski-in, ski-out access to all units and upgrading the existing gondola. My primary role during my three months on the project team was to assist with design iteration. During Schematic Design I focused on facade and window design as well as conceptual development of the site as a whole. I presented those ideas to the project team and built scale physical models.
