EUROPEAN OPEN BEACH Craig Sagar from West Yorkshire came 5th overall while his son Oliver (right) won the juniors CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 28th Paul Roggeman European Open Beach Championships, the largest three-day beach fi shing competition in Europe, took place from Friday March 11th to Sunday March 13th. Over 320 anglers weighed in with codling and bass making their way to the scales. The overall senior winner was local Neil Robinson from Naff erton in East Riding, Yorkshire. Shona Moore from Driffi eld was the top female. All those who attended were happy to see familiar faces for a fun-fi lled weekend of competition after the 2021 championships were unable to be held.
