about me PROFESSIONAL I completed my Bachelors of Human Environmental Science in Interior Design at the University of Alabama in the spring of 2015. That previous summer and winter I interned at Price Studios, now PSH+, in Richmond, Virginia. Upon graduation, I began working full time for PSH+. With more than 6 years of experience in the professional field, a majority of my projects are Healthcare based; experience in other facets include Corporate, Aviation, and Hospitality. Throughout the years, I began efforts to keep our company involved in the community with volunteer based activities and drives.

Recently, I achieved my NCIDQ certification and I am currently teaching myself digital art while enjoying staying active artistically in multiple mediums; watercolor, hand dying, photography and chalkboard art are my favorites.

Project Description

A brand new community based healthcare facility offering a wide variety of services in which patients with and without insurance are able to be treated.

My Work Working with the lead architect and interior designer, I developed the construction documents and helped convey to the client the final design intent through project meetings.

COLONIAL ORTHOPAEDICS

Project Description

The project was a renovation of the existing orthopaedic space that was bought by VCU Health. The renovation allowed for updated finishes and re-work of the reception area.

My Work Working with another interior designer, we provided a new and updated finish palette for the client. I completed a full set of construction documents and created 3D renderings for the client in order to convey the new design.

Project Description

VCU Health purchased the existing hospital system in South Hill that had 11 clinics seperated into buildings. This new, two story medical office building brought each group together into an on-stage off-stage design.

The first floor educational auditorium provides healthcare staff with academic advancement and a multi-purpose space.

The following was split between the two floors: Dental, Cardiac Rehab, Pain Management, E.N.T., cardiology & pulmology Urology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Womens Health Services, and admin. A bridge was built to connect to the newly built hospital.

My Work We documented each clinic’s equipment and furniture along with work-flow. After a completed space plan, I drew up the construction documents and recieved approval on finishes. The biggest challenge was confirming equipment sizes and locations that would also work with the new space.

HCA SAR BUILDING: RWS & MFM

Project Description

The first floor of the SAR Building was vacant and created an opportunity for both Richmond Womens Specialists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine to move out of the existing hospital and into the space. RWS resides on the west side of the building, MFM on the east.

My Work I was in charge of communication between the seperate clinics, setting up meetings to for plan and finish approval. I visited their existing spaces to document the staff needs and equipment. I created a finish palette approved by both clinics in order to keep the first floor consistent. I drew up the construction documents and was aided by an architect for some exterior details and as-built help.

VPFW MIDLOTHIAN

Project Description

Virginia Physician’s for Women is a return client that came to us with the desire for a two story medical office building. They will be leaving their rented administration office and moving into this brand new space currently under construction. The buildling brings together their administration with clinic space and an advanced surgical care suite. The admin open work and offices reside on the first floor with conference rooms and support space. The ASC is also on the first floor and contains two O.R.’s and six recovery bays. The mamography clinic adjoins the administration space and has its own entrance off of waiting.

The second floor contains 34 exam rooms, 5 ultrasound rooms and support spaces.

My Work

Since our team designed the shell, I was able to gather from working on other VPFW projects, a space plan that met all of the clients needs. We pulled the standard finishes with adjustments to fit the new space and from that I generated 3D renderings.
