3. Participate in festivals, fairs, and events like the Kitsap County Fair & Stampede, Bremerton’s Blackberry Festival, Silverdale’s Whaling Days, Port Orchard’s Fathoms O’Fun or Poulsbo’s Viking Fest and many others!
4. Traffic at the bottle neck of Auto Center Way can be tedious, expect PSNS traffic at peak times, get to know your back roads to avoid traffic ;)
5. Take advantage of the Kitsap Transit services, including the fast ferries to Seattle and experience the scenic routes
6. If you like hiking or the outdoors, there is no other place like Kitsap. Go ahead and get your trail boots on and explore the Port Gamble Heritage Park Trails, and all the natural beauty Kitsap (and surrounding areas) has to offer.

There are so many fantastic and iconic places within a few hours drive of Kitsap, like Hurricane Ridge in Port Angeles, the Incredible Hoh Forest, the picturesque town of Leavenworth, great skiing resorts and for Twilight fans out there, don’t forget to visit Forks, WA and its incredible Pacific Beaches.
