COMMITTEES:

In February of 2019, the TEVA Board of Directors held a strategy meeting to review the mission and vision of our now, tenyear-old association. Through a full day of work and subsequent conference calls, the Board has come up with a revised version of our original mission and vision:

Mission: Empowering veterinarians to improve the lives of horses. Vision: Within the next five years, grow TEVA into the premier regional Equine Veterinary Association with annual funding of $450,000+, providing continuing education, mentorship, and a vast network of professional colleagues and industry alliances to all Equine veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary students in all stages of their career. We would like to encourage the YOU to assist us in carrying out our mission and vision. To do so, we would like to ask that you consider joining one of our committees. Listed below are the current TEVA Committees and their stated goal, as well as an estimated time commitment involved in being on each one. If you are interested in moving on to the Board, this is the way to do it!

Boomers are Work-a-Holics, X-ers are Lazy and Millennials are Entitled. How Can We Possibly Communicate Effectively? When TEVA began in 2008, it was started by a group of practitioners that were passionate about bringing the highest quality, most relevant, and cutting edge Continuing Education to our area. Several of these were associate veterinarians; a few were mobile practitioners, and some were owners of some of the largest practices in the area and bring camaraderie among colleagues. They created a Platinum Practice Sponsorship opportunity as a way for practices of all kinds to continue to give back to their profession year after year. Each year this money is specifically used to help fund the speaker budget of TEVA’s annual CE Symposium, which in turn allows us to bring in the best, most highly sought after speakers from around the world. We would like to invite you to be a Platinum Practice this year, by simply returning the form attached with this letter. As a group, we Platinum Practices, represent all facets of our industry. We hope to continue to grow to include even more

practitioners‌young and old. Everyone is invited to be a Platinum Practice. Our goal is for this group to represent the best of our Association. We try hard to honor this group for your contributions to TEVA, and our profession, by hosting a Platinum Practice event at each Symposium. Please sign up for the breakfast when you register for the Summer Symposium, and add on the names of any associates you will be bringing. The breakfast will be free of charge thanks to our sponsors MWI Veterinary Supply and Bimeda. If you would like more information about becoming a Platinum Practice, please contact Sara Green or Kelsey Steinkraus. Platinum Practice Breakfast Sponsors:
