KELOLAND Election Coverage
Live High School Sports!
KELOLAND News had all hands on deck for another historic election night. Crews were stationed at all major party and issue watch parties. KELOLAND News had interviews with the candidates first and offered the most complete coverage throughout the night.
KELOLAND Sports concluded a successful season of live streaming and broadcasting high school football. Next up is high school basketball with a full slate of games scheduled to be broadcast on KELOXTRA. Stay tuned!
Parade of Lights
Speaking of live coverage, KELOLAND’s Scot Mundt and Grant Sweeter provided live coverage of the Parade of Lights on November 29 in downtown Sioux Falls. The parade was live streamed on KELOLAND.com and, for the first time, broadcast on KELOXTRA. Great job guys! Rapid City viewers logged on to KELOLAND.com to watch the live stream of the Festival of Lights parade on November 30. Holiday Gift Guide Special
KELOLAND Media Group kicked off the holiday shopping season with a new special. The KELOLAND Holiday Gift Guide special featured five local businesses showing off the very best in holiday gift ideas. Thanks for shopping local KELOLAND! KELOLAND.com/Holiday-Gift-Guide/

Holiday Vacations has put together a fantastic lineup of trips for 2025. You can choose from Hawaii, Alaska, Ireland, Canadian Rockies, Yellowstone/Glacier parks or a river cruise in Portugal and Spain. Find out how you can join the fun here.
Shoppers flocked to the KELOLAND Living Arts & Crafts Show Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 at the Ramkota Hotel Exhibit Hall. 75 vendors displayed and sold locally made goods. An estimated 5,000 people attended the two-day event. Shoppers were encouraged to donate a pair of women’s shoes to Dress for Success. Mark your calendars for next year’s show October 17 & 18, 2025.
KELOLAND Media Group sponsored a blood drive on October 15, 2024. The Community Blood Bank collected 40 pints of blood that have the potential to save 120 lives.

KELOLAND’s Brian Karstens, Travis
Fossing and Paul Farmer formed a chilicooking team for The Banquet’s Chili Fest fundraiser on October 3, 2024.
3,500 8th graders poured into the Sioux Falls Convention Center for the Junior Achievement Inspire event on November 19. KELOLAND Media Group had a green screen and weather display for students to try their hand at weathercasting. Meteorologist Scot Mundt gave students tips on using the green screen and gave advice on pursuing a career in meteorology.
KELOLAND managers attended career fairs at both South Dakota State University and University of South Dakota in October. It was exciting to meet so many talented and enthusiastic students.
KELOLAND Media Group was proud to support these events and causes this past quarter:

KELOLAND News captured a regional Emmy award for KELOLAND News First@4.
Creative Services producer Nick Ruscitti received a Commercial Production Award from the South Dakota Broadcasters Association. And Perry Groton celebrated 40 years with KELOLAND Media Group. Congratulations!
