H E L L O ! Through my educational, professional, and international architectural experience, I believe it is necessary for architects to take a holistic and research-driven approach to achieve success. I strive to contribute to the built environment by creating designs that live on the equilibrium of functionality and beauty. Aesthetically pleasing architecture fosters a culture of creativity and innovation, contributing to a more enriching and satisfying human experience that I aim to embody in my work. By having a solid foundation in construction management, I also bring a pragmatic yet innovative response to design challenges.

0 1 MALAWI CARDIOVASCULAR CENTER SECOND FLOOR

The primary mission of the cardiovascular center will be to To strengthen Malawi’s cardiovascular care with a new center facility and to increase number of local & regional professionals with a mentorship program. The first heart surgery is a single valve replacement November 1st, 2023 by surgeon from Kenya. The long term goal is for implementation of residency program to increase patient to surgeon ratios and for the center to become a regional facility. Improving patient experiences within healthcare settings can positively correlate with health outcomes in several significant ways. This correlation stems from the interconnected relationship between a patient’s psychological well-being, their engagement with the built environment, nature, and family.

0 2 PERFORMING ARTS & KINESIOLOGY CENTER completed with partners Alexis Manfre and Paul Conrad Spence The Performing Arts & Kinesiology Center is located on the Jefferson University campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This project satisfies the absence of a space where students can dance while simultaneously providing an opportunity for students to participate in physical therapy clinical. Dance is the study of human movement, and this building aims to reflect this while taking cues from the surrounding context to create a site-specific structure. Circulation throughout the building consists of elegant curves that guide occupants toward the spaces with the most hierarchy. The façade is stacked upwards, while the curves open towards the campus and draw students in. This project is a comprehensive study that implements building systems, including a gluelam frame and mechanical systems.

0 3 PERAFROST LABORATORIES completed with partners Ryan Hough, Peter Kennedy and Adriana Penaloza Located in the arctic climate of Greenland, the NOAA research laboratory is home to up to twenty scientists who are preemptively studying bacteria and viruses frozen in the arctic, which will eventually be released due to glacial ice melt. Greenland is a non-resilient environment with temperatures reaching below -14o F. By melting snow and spraying it around a pneumatic membrane, huge four feet thick domes span the site and create a campus-like feel within, while also insulating with an R-value of 48. Within the ice domes are insulated shipping containers, tents, and projections that span across the ice walls and create a dynamic environment. The ice dome keeps the inside at around 40 degrees F while also protecting the users from wind and snowdrifts. This protection allows for users to enjoy the outdoor space, while also allowing for even more temperature-controlled spaces within the dome for work, play, eating, and sleeping. Additionally, the life cycle of this project is completely sustainable because even though the footprint is large, all materials can be brought off site after use, and the huge ice dome will eventually melt due to climate change.

0 4 SUSTAINABLY BRIDGING THE PAST This project identified and implemented an intervention in a Roman piazza that was not living up to its full potential. By researching the site, it became evident that there were precious ruins located under the ground. Site visits also proved that this was a high traffic area of the city that consisted primarily of commuters and pedestrian waiting for buses. This intervention proposes the creation of a sunken piazza that exposes the ruins and allows tourists and members of the community to learn about the Ara Ditis ruins. The ruins are exposed just enough to be used as a seat while an interactive display surrounds them. This excavation would convert Victor Emmanuel into a one way road and implement a new bus stop for a green bus line to pass through.
