Since our inception, we have grown from 1 office with a single practice area to 19 locations throughout 9 states, with more than 220 attorneys spanning over 40 practice areas.

Since 1980, Kelley Kronenberg has seen sustained growth, constantly rising above obstacles to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the ever-changing landscape of their businesses.

1980 Kelley Kronenberg established and opened its first office in Miami, Florida, quickly followed by a second office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

1987 Michael Fichtel, our current CEO, joined the firm.

1988 Howard Wander, our current COO, joined the firm.

1994 The firm opened its West Palm Beach office to meet growing demand.

1995 Heath Eskalyo, our current CFO, joined the firm.

1998 The firm opened its Orlando office and established its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

1999 Kelley Kronenberg commenced a practice area diversification plan, resulting in record growth over the next two decades.

2008 The firm opened an office in Tampa, Florida.

2011 Kelley Kronenberg began expansion outside of Florida, opening an office in Chicago, Illinois. The firm also opened a Tallahassee, Florida office.

2015 The firm opened an office in Atlanta, Georgia, by appointment only.

2019 Kelley Kronenberg opened an office in Jacksonville, Florida, and completed construction of the firm’s new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. By this time, the firm had grown to 300 employees.

2020 The firm opened offices in Daytona Beach and Naples, Florida, and New Orleans, Louisiana.

2021 The firm opened an office in Short Hills, New Jersey, by appointment only.

2023 The firm opened offices in Indianapolis and Merrillville, Indiana, and New York, New York.

Additionally, Kelley Kronenberg added a second building to the firm’s headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

2024 The firm continued its geographic expansion, opening offices in Dallas, Texas;

Boston, Massachusetts; and Albany, New York. The firm also reached a milestone of 500 employees.

ACCOUNTING & FINANCE The Accounting and Finance Department provides full-service accounting and finance support, delivering a full and standard suite of billing, collections, accounts payable, and business management services. Alleviating the pressure on our attorneys, our department seamlessly interfaces our billing programs with the most advanced software. The accounting team customizes its support to each business unit based on client requirements and practice areas.

HUMAN RESOURCES Our full-scale Human Resources Department is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies that enable Kelley Kronenberg to recruit, train, and retain employees who are professional, high-performing, and motivated. Our team specializes in unique onboarding, employee engagement, relationship building, performance management, and employee benefits. Our Human Resources Department includes a Director of Professional Development who coordinates the firm’s efforts to help department leaders and their associates improve productivity and profitability. The Marketing Department manages all aspects of advertising, client events, public and media relations, and digital outreach. Our Business Development Team acquires new business, negotiates and closes deals, develops strategies for business advancement, and collaborates with our teams to drive expansion and growth.

This department handles supply purchasing and distribution, firm fleet management, and vendor relations, and serves as the direct contact for any building or grounds-related matters.

COMPENSATION MODEL The firm uses a system of compensation that is both creative and rational. Our system allows attorneys to generate far greater income than can be produced under the traditional systems in place at most firms.

Consistent with the industry standard, our attorneys are offered a highly competitive base salary that is guaranteed. In addition, based on an attorney’s portable book of business, profit potential, personnel needs, and overhead, the attorney can secure additional income based on the profits his or her department generates. The additional income potential is determined based on a tiered system, allocating an increased percentage that correlates to increasing profits generated by the attorney’s department.
