Principal’s Welcome The Kellett Charity Ball presents a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community and support a cause that is deeply important to our school: the Ann Mc Donald (AMD) Fund, which includes both the Outreach program and Bursaries. This event has achieved legendary status among parents and staff, and it’s no surprise given the tremendous effort put in by the incredible Ball Committee months in advance.

Making this event possible has required the extraordinary generosity and dedication of many individuals. The energy and commitment of Kellett parents to the school is truly exceptional and remains fundamental to our history and culture to this day.

Thank you to every parent who has contributed to organising what promises to be an exceptional evening and a significant fundraiser.

As Kellett parents, we are profoundly grateful for the transformative education our children receive. As such, we are deeply committed to the AMD Fund, which extends this opportunity to disadvantaged children in Hong Kong through the Outreach and Bursaries Programme.

Auction Terms & Conditions of Donation | Kellett Auction Catalogue

Summary of Auction Terms and Conditions We invite you to participate in the Silent Auction via an online platform (to view and place bids, please scan QR code below to access the silent auction website or visit https://kellett2025.weraise.hk/.

The Silent Auction platform is now open for bidding and will close on Saturday, 24th May 2025, at 10:00 PM. The Live Auction will be held on the day of the Kellett Ball on Saturday, 24th May 2025. Proceeds from both auctions will go directly to Kellett School Association Limited. The net proceeds of the auction will be used for the benefit of the Ann Mc Donald Fund for Outreach and Bursaries, as part of the Kellett Foundation Limited (“Kellett”).

This catalogue provides detailed information on the auction items available in both the Silent and Live Auctions, including starting bid prices. Generally, starting bid prices range from 65% to 80% of their market value, as provided by the donors.

Auction Terms & Conditions of Donation This section details the Terms and Conditions applicable to the Auctions. By bidding at the Auction you agree to these terms, so you should read them carefully before doing so.

A. Before the Auction DESCRIPTION OF THE AUCTION ITEM (a) The description of any item in the Kellett Charity and Ball catalogue & information booklet and silent auction online platform/ website was provided to us by the owner of the item/activity, we do not provide any guarantee in relation to its accuracy. (b) The description of any item in the catalogue and any other statement made by us (whether orally or in writing) about any item, including its nature, condition or approximate dimensions, are our opinion and not to be relied upon as a statement of fact. We do not carry out verification or research separately. (c) For all auction items—titles, descriptions, and terms and conditions—the information provided on the silent auction website (https://kellett2025.weraise.hk/) supersedes that in the printed catalogue. After the launch, any changes to the terms and conditions of individual auction items, prior to the auction closing date, will be updated on the silent auction website within the respective section for each item. (d) For Sponsored Jewellery and Art with Reserve auction items - are items for which the Sponsor will donate a great proportion of the sale to AMD Fund and Kellett. The Starting Bid has been fixed so that the Seller can recoup part of the Market Value of the item while a meaningful amount (25 to 35% of a starting bid) will be donated to the AMD Fund and Kellett.

B. Conducting the Auction (a) At the close of the Silent Auction, the highest (and last) bid for each item will be the winner, unless otherwise stated differently on the online auction platform. (b) The online auction platform is provided and maintained by, WeRaise Limited, an independent service company.

Winning bidders will be contacted by WeRaise Limited via email/ text / message directly. Any costs not specified will be borne by the winner directly.

Auction Terms & Conditions of Donation | Kellett Auction Catalogue (c) All bids submitted on the silent auction platform (website) will be considered final and no alteration may be made to your bids, once placed.

C. Conditions of Sale (a) All sales are final, they are not refundable nor exchangeable. Please do not request donors for refunds or exchanges. (b) By bidding in the Auction (both silent auction and live), the bidder understands that they are purchasing a product/service and such purchase will not be regarded as a donation, no donation receipts will be issued in the Auction. (c) For all auction items - please read the terms and conditions and validity dates/blackout dates carefully for each bid as sales are final and terms cannot be changed post-sale. All items are donated “as is”, and written descriptions are for reference only. (d) Kellett School is not responsible for the correctness of description, genuineness, authorship, or for the condition of the items sold. In no event shall Kellett School, or anyone acting on its behalf, be liable for any occurrence resulting from the purchase, ownership, use, or enjoyment of auctioned items. (e) Items will be released after they have been paid for in full (e.g. PayMe, PayPal, cash, and debit/ credit card).

All items must be paid for and removed from Kellett School by 31 December 2025. Delivery arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise stated. (f) Unless otherwise specified, dates and times of purchased items are to be arranged through the mutual convenience of the donor and buyer, not through Kellett School.

D. Live Auction: Successful Bids Unless the auctioneer decides to use his or her discretion, when the auctioneer’s hammer strikes, we have accepted the last bid. This means a contract for donation has been formed between the donor and the successful bidder. We will issue an invoice only to the bidder who made the successful bid.

E. Withdrawal After a bid is placed in the silent and live auction, no withdrawal is allowed. However, Kellett may, at its option, withdraw any item/activity at any time prior to or during the auction of the item/activity. Kellett has no liability to you for any decision or withdrawal.

F. Local Bidding Laws You agree that when bidding for any of our items/activities that you will strictly comply with all local laws and regulations in force at the time of the Auction. The organisers of the Auctions reserve the right to withhold any item from this listing up to the day the Auction takes place.

Anti Sniping Rules Please be courteous to other bidders and do not Snipe. Silent Auction online platform/ website will not automatically extend the expiration period if a bidder bids at the very last moment. But please note that: • If a winning bid was placed at the last 30 seconds of the Silent Auction, AND • The bid before the winning bid was placed at least 5 minutes before the expiration time, AND • The bidder of the bid previous to the winning bid so requests, then, we will reopen the auction for that item to those two bidders who will be asked to provide their last and best bid in a sealed envelope, with the Silent Winning Bid being null and void.
