IMPACT REPORT 2025-2026

Report of Giving 2025-2026 We are so proud to share that this year we have raised an incredible HK$3.58 million, and reached our 26 by 26 goal. Donors for all funds included current parents, students, staff, alumni, and corporate charity trusts and foundations. We are so thankful for every donation, which supports our students and children in Hong Kong, providing an educational experience that develops a love of learning and confidence for life. *Amounts reported may be subject to change following accounts audit. The funds support Kellett students and our work with the underserved communities in Hong Kong. Kellett School fundraises on behalf of Kellett Foundation Ltd.

Greater than the sum of our parts In 2018, Kellett established the AMD Fund to honour Ann Mc Donald OBE, our longest-serving principal, for her contribution to the school. We set ourselves an ambitious target of raising HK$26 million by the time the school turned 50 in 2026. Since then, we have been fortunate enough to offer fourteen children from low-income families in Hong Kong a chance to attend Kellett on an entrance bursary. To extend our impact, we launched Kellett Outreach in 2022, where we provide academic and enrichment sessions to under-served children in our Kowloon Bay campus on Saturdays during term time. As a not-for-profit school, Kellett has been guided by a strong philanthropic spirit from the very beginning. $26 million

Over the past 50 years, this ethos has been deeply embedded in our DNA and reflected throughout our community. From bake sales to Kellett Balls, our parents and alumni have always been generous with their time and resources. Because of donors like you, we can continue to raise much-needed funds for children living below the poverty line in Hong Kong so they, too, can access the same educational opportunities.

The difference you made Kellett Outreach

Established in 2022, Kellett Outreach offers academic and enrichment sessions for children aged 6-14, whose families are living below the poverty line in Hong Kong. Outreach improves life chances by fostering a love of learning, enhancing confidence and well-being, and inspiring higher aspirations amongst children, and their parents. Now in its fifth year, Outreach is entirely funded through donations and currently supports over 140 children a year. Outreach sessions include core subjects such as English (with specialist EAL support) and STEM and is complemented by music, art, and sporting activities, all delivered by Kellett School staff and partner organizations, with the support of student volunteers. All children attending Outreach are provided with breakfast and lunch; transportation to and from Kellett; a uniform (which the children wear with pride); educational resources. Each year, two Outreach students receive life-changing bursaries to attend Kellett – an opportunity that transforms futures.

Outreach Summer Camp

The Outreach Summer Camp was a pilot project to trial a new way of delivering academic support to underprivileged children in Hong Kong who are most at risk of experiencing a widening achievement gap during extended school holidays. With the support of HSBC, 81 Strive and Rise mentees and 105 Kellett Outreach children attended the Summer Camp.

The difference you made supercharing Kellett curriculum: Craig Leeson

Hundreds of students attended the Elliot lecture featuring Craig Leeson (journalist, award-winning documentary filmmaker, recipient of Australian of the Year Award and Cathy Pacific’s inaugural Change-Maker Award) to introduce his latest production, The Last Glaciers, filmed over seven years across three countries. Craig also hosted several workshops for Kellett students focusing on sustainability.

DT Engraver

Design & Technology was able to purchase a Fibre Laser engraver which allows students to work with metals at a highly detailed level creating 2.5d reliefs as well as colour engravings on metals, a capability which Kellett did not have and is typically available at university level studies.

The difference you made PFL Garden

The Revitalised PFL Garden coming soon...

Current Garden

PFL is getting an upgrade. As part of the renovation, the Banyan Tree Garden is getting a glow up. With support from PFL families and alumni, we are aiming to create a multifunctional outdoor learning space: from building bug hotels to sensory play, live music perfromaces and educational water play, every aspect of the Garden will enhance our curriculum and student wellbeing while brining the benefits of Outdoor School to our doorstep.

Sixth Form Centre Sports Performance Lab

Thanks to support from a Kellett family, our new Sixth Form Centre has a Sports Performance Lab to enhance Kellett’s sport and science education. The space will enable students to conduct advanced physiological testing, mirroring the facilities found in leading university sport science departments. The Lab will support both academic (Biology, and Bio-Psychology) and PE pathways and wider school athletic performance programmes, aligning with Kellett’s strategic goal to provide dynamic learning environments. This kind of classroom was on our wish list but was initially relegated due to budget. Thanks to generous support, it is now available for Kellett students, and we believe Kellett is the first secondary school in Hong Kong to have these facilities.

Community Award This year, we are honoured to present the Kellett Community Award to Ms Magi Chen, Head of Art at Kowloon Bay Senior School, and Ms Evans Wong, Art and Design Technology Technician, in recognition of their dedication to the Kellett Outreach Programme. Magi and Evans have volunteered regularly with Outreach. Magi has been instrumental in developing and delivering the art programme, with Evans working alongside her every step of the way and adding her own creative spin to the art activities. Without dedicated members of staff like Magi and Evans, who generously volunteer their time on Saturdays, the Outreach Programme would not be able to support so many children in our community. Paul Tough, Principal & CEO, commented: "Magi brings such warmth and passion to her teaching, and we are incredibly grateful for the time and dedication she gives to the Outreach Programme. Evans' patience and deep knowledge of art shine through in everything she does. Every child who interacts with them leaves inspired, having learned something new. Kellett is so fortunate to have both of you."

Christmas Spirit

Over the Christmas holiday season, we added a little bit of Kellett flair to our decorations, with the special edition golden Kellett Christmas Bauble. The bauble was designed by our KLB Prep Art Teacher,

Our community in action

Coin Challenge

Claire Lau, with all proceeds going to Outreach and bursaries. Thank you to everyone who bought a bauble, we sold 192 and raised $34,494. On top of that, we also sold 840 Christmas cards raising $4,635.

Read-a-Thon

Thank you to all the students who participated in our whole-school Coin Challenge, where students were encouraged to bring in their spare change and place it along the dragon tarpaulins. Collectively, we raised an impressive $17,313 for Outreach & bursaries.

Our Read-a-Thon, an event organised and run by our Parents’ Committee, brought students love of literacy to life. From the 23 February - 9 March 2026, we challenged our Prep Students to read as many books as they could and record this in their Reading Log. Parents, friends and family sponsored the students for each book they read, with all donations going to K². There was the added attraction of earning House Points, as well as a new collection of books for the class who raised the most amount of money. We are so proud of all the students and their families who raised an amazing $176,273 for K².

Charity Basketball Match

Y13 students organized a teachers vs. students charity basketball match to raise money for Outreach. Beyond this main event, students also hosted a bake sale to raise additional funds. The event raised a total of $2,200, supporting the purchase of musical instruments and equipment for Outreach.

Theatre Seats

737 Challenge A big cheer to everyone who has bought a seat in the David Kidd Theatre. By naming a seat, you are supporting the AMD Fund for Outreach & bursaries. This year we sold a total of 7 theatre seats, raising $330,000. A huge effort, thank you so much to everyone who donated. To mark 50 years of Kellett School, the Head of Year 7, Helen John, led her Year 7 students on a symbolic challenge: to complete the 737 Challenge (Year 7, 3 weeks, 7 days a week) inspired by the extraordinary achievements of Richard Parks. Together, they completed 19,253m in elevation gained, and raised money for Outreach & bursaries.

Celebrating Through Giving

Aarin’s (KLB Y2) parents threw him a birthday party when he turned 6 years old. Instead of gifts, they requested donations to Kellett’s Outreach programme. Kellett Development Team helped set up a designated website and donation link for the event. We received 23 donations, raising $10,099 for Kellett Outreach, providing meals and transportation for 2 Outreach students for a year.

Outreach Feel Good Friday

On 17 April 2025, the Senior school students came together and organised a Feel Good Friday, called Feeling Involved, in celebration of our Outreach community. Students organized a bake sale and provided chocolate and biscuits for everyone in attendance. There was music, arts and crafts and friendship bracelet making. All the proceeds of the event went to support Outreach. The students raised an impressive $10,242. As the winner of Service Learning at the 2026 GBA School Awards, Kellett is proud of our students’ commitment in making a positive difference locally and globally.

Debenture Donations

We continue to see extraordinary generosity from Kellett families. 8 families who left Kellett donated their debenture refund totalling $132,000 to Outreach and bursaries. 2 scholar families also donated their fee remission of $53,420. Your kindness and commitment to giving back to the community is truly inspiring. Thank you for making a difference!

Kellett Merchandise

Thank you for each and every one of you who bought our special 50th Kellett merchandise. Because of your support, we were able to celebrate our very special anniversary while rasing money for a special cause. Through the sale of Kellett merchandise, we raised over $124,113 for Outreach & bursaries.

Kellett Cares supports NGOs in Hong Kong and around the world. Each School has a charity they raise money for, and collectively we support UNICEF through the sale of our Pre-Loved Uniform. In the 2025-26 academic year, over 1000 pre-loved items were sold, raising $40,000 for UNICEF. We reused and upcycled over 1400 pieces of uniform. Through student-led initiatives across all three schools, we also raised $6,536 for WWF, $41,881 for Love 21, $42,235 for Plastic Free Seas, and $96,814 for other charities. Kellett also donated $74,000 to Save the Children for psychological support for the Taipo Tragedy.
