VR Testing and Construction Documents VR testing allows for the space to be seen clearly and know if your project is functional

Goal: To see if the layout of Chalmers makes for a good work flow that students would want to use.

Along with seeing if Chalmers provides a quality workspace that fuels inspiration and connection Tasks: Proposed route for these tasks in yellow on floor plan 1. You have a project you need to cut wood for, make your way from the entrance hall to the supply shop and purchase wood. Afterword go into the wood shop and cut your wood down 2. After cutting your wood you have a 3D print to pick up, head over the makers lab and pick up your print 3. Now that your wood is cut and your 3D print is ready make your way to the model documentation room and photograph 8

Problem: Youth leaving jail often have nowhere to go and need a first home to regain their life

Step 1: Volume taking up max space in regards to zoning codes

Step 2: Remove hard corners to make space feel more freeing

Step 3: Remove part of the top to create a loft and outdoor access

Step 4: Create a private balcony and finish form to have a unique shape

Form Development The key for this building is make it feel as least like jail as possible so the users feel safe. Items like large windows and rounded corners make the building feel softer and safer. Outdoor space to get fresh air is also very needed.

Renderings In these renderings you can see the heavy emphasis on curved faces keeping the space free flowing. The variation of shelf sizes also adds to the playfulness of the space. The blue and green color scheme keeps it calm.
