The Story Behind the Photo
My original image is a view of the Esplanade and the Marina Bayfront area. It was the cropped to A4 size and I used the gradient layer to colour the World War II memorial in green. I also used the gradient layer to change the colour of one of the towers in the background to red as well. I also used the brightness/contrast layer to darken the image and increased the contrast a little bit.
I took a second picture of myself with a Bernie Sanders cupboard cut-out and used the sponge tool to make my eyes totally black. I made Bernie’s eyes black as well and used one of the copyright images of laser eyes shooting out of a robot and inserted it onto Bernie’s eyes. The magnetic lasso tool was used to remove the laser eyes and attached it onto Bernie’s eyes to make it seemed that lasers are shooting out of his eyes.

Next, I used the magnetic lasso tool and took out the edited image of Bernie and I and plopped it onto the first Esplanade image.
I then took a third picture of my sister’s dog and used the magnetic lasso tool to attach the dog onto the newly edited Esplanade image. I then used the magnetic lasso tool to remove a the communist beret of Che Guevara and plopped it onto the dog to make the dog a socialist dog.
Finally, I added the text layer with the following text: “Socialism is scary, run for your lives, filthy capitalists!”
