Louise’s vows Ash, from the day I first layed eyes on you I only dreamt of this moment, to be standing here on our wedding day becoming your wife. Today, my dream comes true.

I feel beyond privileged to be marr ying such a caring, ambitious and loyal person with a hear t truly like no other. The time and energy you give to help those around you, including myself, demonstrates your selfless character and I believe is why you are so loved.

You bring strength to my weaknesses, clarity to my doubt and focus to my dreams. You have made my life 110% better and for that I thank you. No matter what happens in the days, months and years to come I know with cer tainty in my hear t that ever ything will be okay, because I have you.

I have always believed that ever ything happens for a reason and so here today I know this is fate.

You and me, best friends, soul mates, we are meant to be together, to love each other and share life’s experiences side by side, hand in hand, hear ts inter twined as one.

Our love story Over 7 years ago we met at a gym in Palmerston Nor th which is where our love stor y began. Ash was a personal trainer and I (Louise) openly took up the role as the gym manager (little did Ash know he was half the reason why I took that role). What star ted as working together to then training together we spent a lot of time in each other’s company and it soon became obvious that the relationship we shared was something special.

We both decided to prep for our ver y first bodybuilding show and agreed to help motivate and suppor t each other to help stay on track. We learnt a lot about one another during this time and and we quickly realized how compatible we were as we shared the same ambitions/values and drive. We also realized if we can sur vive a bodybuilding prep together then we can sur vive anything – strict dieting and being extremely meticulous in ever ything one does is not usually a recipe for love. But this journey only ignited the flame which later transitioned into happily forever after.

We spent the first 3 years of our time together living in Palmerston Nor th. We worked as personal trainers, competing in various bodybuilding shows and enjoyed lots of food dates tr ying all the local cafes and restaurants (we are both big foodies). We got engaged after 3 years dating on the 1st of Januar y 2019 where Ash bustled up the courage to pop the question. It was on a secluded beach with a gorgeous waterfall to the side and it really was the best star t to the year. From there, things only got better (cliché, we know). We loved to travel and explore new places and on return from an overseas holiday we spontaneously decided we wanted a change of scener y and packed up our belongings and moved to the beautiful Bay of Plenty. We now both work together, live together and well, pretty much do ever ything together and we couldn’t be happier! We own a health and fitness company, living and breathing the lifestyle which we are so ver y passionate about! We have grown immensely as both individuals and a couple through both life’s challenges and gifts. We have travelled many places, laughed for many hours and suppor ted each other through some ver y difficult losses, but ever y experience has drawn us closer and for that we see value in ever ything life throws at us.

To get a better picture of us as a couple – some may say “Louise brings order to Ash’s chaos but Ash brings calm to Louise’s stress”. What may be viewed as our individual weaknesses are found to be each other’s strengths and with this we navigate our journey of life complimenting each other in ever y way possible. We didn’t just find love when we found each other, we found our other half, our soul mate. Now happily married, we are excited to see where this next chapter will lead us in our journey as Mr & Mrs Mullen.
