Mr. Thomas Chanona Managing Director & Co-founder
Kee-Chanona Guyana Inc. was incorporated under the companies act of Guyana in March 2018 and has been in operation in Guyana for the past 5 years.
In joint-venture with Nabi Construction Inc. we have successfully completed the Mazaruni Prison project, and are currently working on the Exxon Mobil Guyana Office Complex scheduled to be completed in April 2024.
Kee-Chanona Guyana Inc. has an affiliate relationship with Kee-Chanona Ltd. (KCL) which is headquartered in Trinidad & Tobago.
WHO WE ARE
Our Leadership



Mr. Thomas Chanona, is the Managing Director and cofounder of KCL. With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry Mr. Chanona has steered KCL to the successful delivery of major projects in Grenada, St Lucia, Belize, Turks & Caicos Island and Trinidad and Tobago. Under his stewardship KCL has delivered landmark projects in these territories within tight timeframes and with a high degree of architectural finish. Mr. Chanona is currently the Chairman of KCL’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Anthony Labban is the Projects Director and co-founder of KCL. With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry Mr. Labban has used his expertise in Estimating, Quantity Surveying and Negotiation to secure numerous prestigious projects in Grenada, St Lucia, Belize, Turks & Caicos Island and Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. Labban has gained the respect of many of the country’s Consultants for his foresight and ability to offer Value Engineering that results in cost effective solutions for our varied clientele.

Exxon Mobil Guyana Office Complex

DESCRIPTION
This project for Exxon Mobil Global Services consists of a 15 acre campus located in Ogle on the outskirts of Georgetown, Guyana. It’s primary function is office space supporting their operations division (Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited). This project is being done as a joint venture with Nabi Construction Ltd. The project consists of two 3-story office buildings, with a total floor area of approximately 125,000+ sq ft, associated surface parking and site improvements.

Mazaruni Prison

DESCRIPTION
This site is located within the 20 acres that form the riverine correctional facility of the Mazaruni Prison located in Region #7 (Cuyuni/ Mazaruni). The project for the expansion of the Mazaruni Prison involved the Construction of a U-shaped four storey structural steel framed building.

Furness Multi-Storey Car Park Structure

Construction of the new Design-Build 12-storey post-tensioned Car Park structure which caters for over 900 carpark spaces. This carpark was the first multi-storey Post-Tensioned structure in Trinidad and Tobago.

The structure will be eight (8) levels high from Lady Hailes Avenue, inclusive of abasement level and two (2) levels high inclusive of roof level parking from thelevel of the existing upper hospital carpark and has an overall floor area of316,440 ft² (29,398m²). The Carpark will provide for 1000 parking spaces with allowances and allocation for differently-abled parking in the existing hospital park.

Attorney General Building

DESCRIPTION
Construction of a 7 storey structural steel building comprising a semibasement. The building is of a reinforced blockwall, gypsum partitions, external face of Alucobond and granite. The roof is of mastic asphalt on Isocrete thermal screed. The building is fitted with an elevator and sprinkler system.
Caribbean Development Company Bottling Hall

The reconstruction work of the new bottling hall with approximate dimensions of 238ft x 120ft entails placement of ground beams, pad footings,column pedestals, retaining walls, underground drainage utilizing CPVC pipes, reinforced concrete floor slab, stainless steel floor drains and gutter drains inslab, blockwall, R- panel wall cladding installation, column and beam installation,radiant barrier and roof sheeting and purlin installation.
