20TH SOUTH CAROLINA REGIONAL CONFERENCE of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
LORD , Make UsOne
JOHN17:21

Host: Antioch Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Varnville, South Carolina 29944
Host pastor: Rev. dr. Ricky Syndab
As members of the Christian Church, We confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and proclaim Him Lord and Savior of the world.

In Christ’s name and by His grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people.
We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in God’s covenant of love which binds us to God and to one another.
Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God.
In the communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ.

At the Table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ. Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture.
In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. Blessing, glory, and honor be to God forever.
Amen.

I AM THINE, Oh Lord
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith, And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the pow’r of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine.
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side.
O the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God, I commune as friend with friend!
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side.
There are depths of love that I yet may know Ere Thee face to face I see; There are heights of joy that I yet may reach Ere I rest in peace with Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Rev. Dr. Ricky Syndab, Sr.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I would like to welcome each of you to this 20th Regional Conference of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in South Carolina. We pray that our physical amenities will be accommodating to you and, most importantly, that the spiritual atmosphere will invoke a true fellowship of love.
Our Theme “Lord Make Us One” from John 17:21 reminds us of a union- the union of God the Father, Jesus, the Son, and The Holy Spirit. So as these three are separate, but yet equal, we as a body of believers must strive to be equal and not separate. We can accomplish this by adhering to the Word of God, learning how to encourage one another, and the practice assembling ourselves together.
May every good and perfect gift imparted during this conference be glorified by the Father, and received as a blessing in the presence of everyone.
Your Humble Servant, Rev. Dr. Ricky Syndab, Sr. Host Pastor Bro. Jeremy Dunbar PLANNING COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN, ANTIOCH CHRISTIAN CHURCH, VARNVILLE, SCGreetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
On behalf of all of the Planning Committee, it is an honor to greet and embrace your presence as you convene for the 20th Regional Conference of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in South Carolina. Our auxiliary leaders have worked diligently to ensure that your worship experience is one of comfort and fulfillment.
Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. And to Him have we entrusted all of our doings.
Proverbs 15:22 says Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers, they succeed. Therefore, we would like to salute our Regional Minister, Regional Administrative Assistant, and Regional Program Director for allowing our local team to glean from their guidance.
May the presence of God illuminate and continue to do great work in each of you throughout this session.
Submitted in Love,
Bro. Jeremy Dunbar Local ChairmanRev. Dr. Freddie Lawton, Sr.

Leader: God is here! As we God’s people meet to offer praise and prayer, may we find in fuller measure what it is that we share in Christ. Some are called to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers, but all are called for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.
People: There are different gifts, but it is the same Spirit who gives them.
Leader: There are different ways of serving God, but it is the same Lord who is served.
People: Together we are the body of Christ. Though we have different gifts, together we are a ministry of reconciliation.
Leader: Whoever among you is chosen to lead must become the servant of all.
People: Recognizing and celebrating our different gifts, we gather today to pray for courage in the struggle for justice and peace, to accept the cost and joy of discipleship, and to be servants in the service of the whole human family.
Leader: Let us worship God!

We are insurance people who understand your Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) faith. We understand that your congregation is important to the life you want to live and the world you want to shape.

The General Assembly of the Disciples of Christ Church, upon recommendation of its General Board, recognizes Insurance board as a recognized ministry partner. Through covenantal relationship, the Insurance Board seeks to be the insurance program of choice for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
The Insurance Board is a property and liability insurance program created for churches by churches, founded on one guiding principle: keep your congregation and place of worship safer, stronger and able to continue your passionate outreach to society.

YOUR GUIDE IN A CHANGINGWorld

DCEF provides loans, investments, and ministry services to help congregations and other ministries respond when the world around them shifts. We help you leverage your assets – Your People, Your Property and Your Finances – to locate your sweet spot for ministry.

As Disciples in South Carolina strive to be ”a beacon of light and hope” through the ministries of their congregations, Disciples Church Extension Fund has come alongside them with affordable loans, socially responsible investments, and life-giving ministry services. The partnerships strengthen these congregations to achieve their calling, according to Dr. Freddie Lawton Sr., Regional Minister of the Christian Church in South Carolina.
To learn how your congregation can leverage your resources to fulfill God’s call, contact Rev. Richard Williams, DCEF Senior Advisor, at 800.274.1883; rwilliams@disciplescef.org

As you consider your next faithful steps in a changing landscape for ministry, Disciples Church Extension Fund can help.
