"Beach Creek" - Selection Standards and Upgrades

Selection Process For Buyers

Thank you for choosing KDA Homes to build your home. The following pages describe the standard material, color and texture selections that are included in the price of your home. Samples, including displays of “Builders Line” selections, are available in our Ashland office at 604 Fair Oaks Court. As we work together through the selection process, our goal is to create a “Selections Layout” that summarizes the specific choices you have made for your home. Once the Selections Layout is complete, it will be signed by the Buyers and Seller and will become a part of the Sales Agreement. Here are some important points to keep in mind:

 The selections are listed in a chronological order that reflects the scheduling of your home’s construction. All selections should be documented and confirmed by the time the framing of your home is complete to insure that the schedule for your home moves smoothly and materials are ordered and available at the proper times.

 Some selections may be limited by Neighborhood Standards.

 Some selection options may not apply to your specific floor plan or design.

 “Green Building” features are highlighted in green. If your home is Earth Advantage certified, please refer to KDA Homes - Earth Advantage Standards for additional standard features.

 If your home is Lifelong Housing Certified, please refer to KDA Homes - Lifelong Housing Standards for additional standard features.

 You will have an opportunity to “Walk Thru” your framed home with our Cabinet Maker, Door Supplier and Electrician to confirm selections and layouts.

 Selections should be made from the "Builders Line" samples in our showroom. Upgraded selections should be made using our list of approved vendors. There may be additional costs associated with materials and selections sourced from outside our regular vendors.

 If a specific selection is discontinued or becomes unavailable, we will work with you to find a replacement product of equal value.

 The charge for upgraded selections not listed in this list of standards will be calculated by comparing the cost of the standard selection with the cost of the upgrade.

 A 15% fee will be added to change orders requested during the course of construction and after final selections have been approved and published . This fee is in addition to applicable upgrade and restocking charges. Change orders may delay the completion date of your home.
