Dear KCSM Members, The holiday season is always a good time to take stock of one's good fortune, and practice generosity towards one's family and larger world. Despite the hard times that are still being faced by millions across the nation, many of us continue to hold onto our jobs and our homes, send our children to good schools and in general, have a comfortable life. And many of us really don't need any more "things" gifted upon us this holiday season. When we think beyond the basics of what we are grateful for; food, clothing, and shelter, we realize that there are many other things that add to the quality of life that are now being threatened because of the current economic situation. State parks are being closed, libraries are cutting their hours and many services we take for granted are being scaled back or eliminated altogether.

We don't have a lot of control over may of these cutbacks, but we CAN make a difference to the charitable institutions that add to the quality of our lives by making an additional year-end gift. This year more than ever, non-profit organizations, especially arts and culture organizations, are feeling the pinch of reduced donations and higher expectations. KCSM is no exception—we are struggling to cover costs that have been historically subsidized by our community college district at a time when our membership donations are falling. We are in the process of implementing new business models that will replace the lost revenue, but are facing the possibility that we may not be able to move fast enough to keep the stations on the air. If you like what you see or hear on KCSM, consider giving an additional yearend gift or have your firends and relatives make a gift in your name. This year, more than ever, we are relying on your generosity to be able to keep broadcasting member-supported educational television and jazz radio. Sincerely,

Marilyn Lawrence General Manager

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact him at dante@kcsm.net.

Simply look at the Primetime line-up scheduled the night before, and those are your Overnight repeat programs. However, we will also make the Overnight programs available as a download at kcsm.org/tv.

We Want To Hear From You!

Did You Know...

Did you know that you can still get your A-Z program listing and Daytime Grid online, along with the new Overnight schedule? Simply go to kcsm.org/tv and download these individual sections of the guide.

Go Green with KCSM

While we have made great strides at producing this guide as eco-friendly as possible by printing on recycled paper and using soy inks, and reducing the number of pages. We also make it available online as a free download which save resources...and money! If you would prefer to discontinue receiving the paper guide in the mail, please email us at green@kcsm.net with the subject line "OPT OUT."
