NATURAL MATERIALS
Enable children to be directors of their own play with Loose Parts. Completely open-ended and with no set instructions, children are free to create, invent, explore and discover a world of possibilities, where their ‘loose parts’ can be moved, lined-up, collected, taken apart or combined to create anything their imagination desires.
Done well, Loose Parts Play helps children to develop in all seven areas of the EYFS and enables them to truly follow their own interests, free from gender issues or stereotypes. Combining natural loose parts such as pine cones and tree cookies to your bought loose parts will help you to provide extra richness and seasonality, whilst also helping to keep the cost down too!
