Score out your chosen image onto the face of the tile using a pencil (tracing paper or a stencil can be used to help you do this).
Place the tile face down on the paper or fabric and use a clean roller to apply even pressure to the back of the tile. Lift the tile off the fabric and allow to dry.

* Use cotton printing fabric (see page 836) and fix to embroidery hoop on (page 826).
* In a bowl mix plain flour and water together to form a smooth fairly thick batter mix.
* Pour mixture into squeeze bottle.
* Pipe mixture onto fabric using the writer nozzle, create your own designs or place image under fabric and copy.
* Allow to dry for a couple of hours in warm room or better overnight.
* Sponge or brush textile paint onto fabric, ensuring all fabric is fully covered.
* Blend colours together to give different effects, or use pearlescent and metallic textile paints to give great results.
* Do not soak fabric as paint can seep under the flour and water mixture.
* When fabric is completely dry, pick off the flour and water mixture.
* Remove fabric from hoop and iron to seal colour to fabric. (adult supervision required).

ModelSmart Pro 280 3D Printer
3D printing is the latest technology making inroads into the classroom. 3D printing allows students to create prototypes of items without the use of expensive tooling required in subtractive methods. Students design and produce actual models they can hold. The classroom environment allows students to learn and employ new applications for 3D printing.
