Lascells Thermistor System

A 1-metre long welded steel Rubens' Tube, providing a dramatic visual presentation of sound waves. The gas flame waveforms vary in height and wavelength, depending on the input frequency from any amplified audio source e.g. a signal generator. Requires natural or bottled gas.

Apparatus providing a simple and effective method to investigate the properties of a thermistor. The NTC bead thermistor is enclosed in a sealed glass tube, with a conducting compound to provide good thermal contact with the surroundings, and two 4 mm flying leads for electrical connection.

Nominal resistance is 4.7k Ohms.
