does Highpoint offer to couples?

Indoor, outdoor, ceremony, reception, rehearsal, all of the above?

We offer it all at Highpoint! Our outdoor ceremony space is the star of the show with picturesque rolling hills and beautiful Kansas sunsets. Our indoor space includes three 12ftx10ft architectural glass doors that can be opened to create a seamless flow between indoor/outdoor spaces. In addition to our venue, we also have a guesthouse perfect for your wedding night or a quiet weekend getaway.

What is your vendor policy?

We want you to be able to hand pick vendors that share your vision and fit within your budget! Therefore, we have an open vendor policy. Should you need help finding a vendor, we have a preferred list and would be happy to make referrals!

What amenities are included in the venue rental cost?

At Highpoint we want your day to be as seamless as possible. We are much more than just an event space! Included in the venue cost is the use of our Bridal Suite (with private 4-piece bathroom), makeup counter with LED mirrors, Grooms Lounge with tv, bar area with ice machine, warming kitchen, premium sound system with outdoor speakers and wireless lapel microphones, event design layout, setup of tables and chairs, outdoor ceremony space with bench seating, lounge area with fireplace, projector and TV for all of your audio-visual needs.

I'm Kyndra Jade, the owner, and designer of Kyndra Jade. I am a Kansas City-based fashion designer and angel wing maker. I offer a unique perspective on alternativestyle wedding gowns. Every gown in my collection is your Wildest Dreams made to order. Whether you dream of one of my runway gowns as it is, or a custom colorway. Even if you dream of being a part of your own vision brought to life, I would be honored to be a small part of your special day. I love when another #kyndrasangels dreams come to life.

Why do you think a wedding is often centered around the bride's wedding gown?

I know many brides dream about their wedding while growing up, knowing everyone's eyes will be on them. By choosing to work with a local designer you can collaborate with an artist to interpret and create a gown perfect for your moment. It’s hard to describe the enchantment until you’ve stepped into and twirled in the gown of your dreams.

What can a bride expect when she decides to invest in a custom gown?

I think many brides assume they cannot afford a designer gown. Made-to-order gowns start at $2800. Many brides have fallen in love with a gown they saw on my runway but dream of it in white. Or they imagine a unique sleeve. Perhaps even making a gown more modest than the runway gown. If a bride has a gown in their mind they’ve never seen, Kyndra Jade has a passion to help bring your vision to life.

How much time does it take to create a custom gown?

Every gown is made to order. Customizing one of Kyndra’s current gowns has the fastest turnaround. All gowns take a minimum of 12 weeks to produce.

THE BARN AT RIVERBEND

What is the story behind The Barn at Riverbend?

In the summer of 2015, we entertained the idea to double the size of our barn, adding some parking, creating a whimsical outdoor amphitheater on our wooded hillside, and planting several new flower beds. Our barn sits on the edge of the South fork of the Grand River and it makes two bends on our property. My children spent countless summer hours playing in its water, so it was easy to name our newest business adventure: The Barn at Riverbend.

Does the rental price at 8th & Main include the entire building?

Yes- You get access to the whole venue from 9 a.m. - 12 a.m. and we do not charge a room flip fee! Our venue includes parking lot for guests, bridal suite, ballroom and courtyard.

We love how the city of Grandview allows us to block off 8th Street so we can easily bring in a Food Truck for your wedding reception.

THE MISSION THEATRE:

How many Guests can you accommodate?

The Mission Theatre can comfortably seat 250 for a ceremony & reception or up to 400 guests cocktail style. We have a lovely stringed-lit alley on the right of the building with french boutique table sets, mural floor rug, antique tea-light candles, and our make-a-wish mural at the entrance for your guest to have a photo opt.

What should you know about our venue policies?

We have an open vendor policy or an all inclusive option. You can hand pick every detail or you can let us do that for you.

The ranch is almost 15 acres of beauty for you to utilize for your photographs including sunflower patch, pond, fields, horses, barns and forest. Our getting ready suites, caterers prep kitchen, ice machine, restrooms, tables and chairs are all included in your rental.

What is your WHY?

We are Chris and Kayla Greene, the owners of this family owned ranch that seeks to give back to couples, build community and give back to the community in a big way. We plan to give back to nonprofits and use our business to support foster youth with vocational training and support through the wedding industry to help them have a solid foundation for becoming successful adults.

IT WAS always YOU

When we started planning our wedding we both knew we wanted it to be timeless and elegant. At the beginning we thought we were going to do a destination and keep it small. But ultimately decided we wanted all our loved ones to share our bid day with us and knew the second we saw 1890 that is was the place we wanted to say “I do!” We loved the views and setting of The Fields so when we walked down the aisle the sun was out and our guest were using their programs as fans. So to say the rain was a suprise is an understatement. It started sprinkling as the sun was still shinning for about 5 minutes and then the sky opened up and it was a complete down pour. The rain was a blessing and we took it in stride and I asked the minister to speed it up and get tot he good part. Our guests were drenched but thankfully stayed for the reception. It literally was the best fay of our lives and a wedding to remember!
