What is The Berry Best Fudge Company and how long have you been in business?
We are a full service fudge shop offering a variety of unique Gourmet Fudge Creations made from my sweet, creamy smooth fudge with the finest ingredients. We have been in business for two years with 1 year at our present location. The first year I sold online and on Saturdays at Atchison’s local CBD store.
What is the next step for your business?
We are now offering full time dessert catering. Our Gourmet Fudge Creations are perfect for wedding receptions, bridal showers, bachelor parties, corporate events, and really, any occasion. Services range from customer pick up, delivery and setup or full service - we provide tables, linens, plates, silverware, staffing and cleanup. We’ve noticed a trend in couples wanting more unique desserts at their receptions, and our Fudge Creations fills that palette.
Where do you see your business going in 3-5 years?
The fudge itself, as well as the Gourmet treats, has been very well received and consumed in many different states, so the next logical step would be to take the fudge company national. Currently, we are looking for a second location in the Kansas City area, and from there – who knows?

Yes, we can ship anywhere within the United States, and we have both Facebook and Instagram pages where our customers can follow us for the latest on new fudge flavors, specials and what’s happening at The Berry Best Fudge Company.

The inspiration behind Designs by P comes from my lifelong passion for art and creativity While planning my own wedding, I discovered the joy of creating one-of-a-kind and personalized designs. I took a risk and turned my hobby into a business, launching Designs by P I am grateful for the opportunity to work with clients creating memorable and personalized designs for their special day!
Some popular products and services I offer include branding, logos, custom stationery, and day of paper like menus, place cards and programs. Along with signage, cocktail napkins, cups and drink stirrers! My offerings are endless and I am always coming up with unique ideas to create new trends.
What is your main goal in providing services to your couples?
My goal is to offer couples personalized creations that beautifully reflect their unique love story, personalities, and shared interests. My favorite offering is my custom stationery, as it provides a wide scope for personalization. I enjoy hand painting and digitizing my artwork, allowing me to experiment with various materials, colors, and designs. I like incorporating elements like a drawing of their venue, florals, or even the couple's pets adding a truly unique and personalized touch to each creation.

Welcome to our locally & family owned, one stop shop event space in the heart of Kansas City.
The Grand Plaza Room is one, large room (capacity 300 seated) that can be sectioned off into two smaller rooms, creating the East Room (capacity 100) and West Room (capacity 160). Each room comes with all of our square back leather chairs, round dining tables, daytime hurricane vase centerpieces, evening time 3 tiered cylinder vase centerpieces with floating candles + votives, and audio visual units (one per side) including a projector, screen, wireless microphones, and Bose speakers.
We have one bar on each side of the space +a full parking lot and a rentable parking garage beneath the building. All food and beverage catering is through our long time standing, American restaurant which will be celebrating its 30th birthday in July of 2020. Grand Street was a restaurant first, so not only do we have a beautiful venue with floor to ceiling windows facing the Country Club Plaza, but we have award winning chefs, food, drinks, and service to make any event a wonderful, seamless experience.
What makes Grand Street a “one stop shop”?
When you book an event with Grand Street you have access to our scratch-made kitchen, extensive menu, tenure staff, and caring event planning team. We provided all standard event equipment including beautiful decor items making it easy to add your own personal touches. We can host your ceremony, reception and provide unique food and beverage options so you’ll only need to be in touch with one vendor for the most important pieces of your special day!
Does Grand Street have an Event Planner?
When you book with Grand Street you’ll have peace of mind working with our Events & Catering Manager. You’ll meet with them 4 times leading up to the event, including a tasting meeting to work out all the details of your menu. The day of, the Events & Catering Manager is on-site for set up and with you until the cake is served! Afterwards, our dedicated Events Team see you through the rest of the evening.
How long do bridal clients have access to the event space?
Our bridal clients have the convenient option to begin dropping off items at 4 PM on the Friday before the event and then have full day access beginning at 10:30 AM. Our Events & Catering Manager is on-site during the entire day for set up and vendor management. Because we employ a full time event staff you are not required to clean up afterwards. We will carefully store any items left the night of the event and you can pick up Monday morning!

Tell us what makes Loretto Events so unique?
The Loretto is on the National Historic Registry. The Sisters of Loretto were the first religious order of women in the United States. They were known for their acceptance of all. This multipurpose venue housed their girls’ academy from 1903 to 1966.
How many guests can you accommodate, and do you have multiple rooms within The Loretto?
Yes, Loretto Events can accommodate up to 300 guests and we can host your smaller showers too! The beautiful Historic Chapel includes a 1-hour rehearsal, covered chairs, use of cross and arbor. We feature two ballrooms to suit your style; the Auditorium can host 200 guests and features modern art deco fixtures & lighting with an open floor plan. The Grand Ballroom is classic and sophisticated with columns and chandeliers hosting up to 300 guests. The Grand Ballroom also includes a private pre-function area with built-in bar, patio, and 2 spacious suites to get ready in. The Cross Room is perfect for your smaller showers and engagement parties for 10-45 guests.
