On this crisis of MMIWG, we will no longer be silent. Our July issue of Kci-Niwesq is meant as a tribute to the Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people who have gone missing or been murdered in this country over the decades.
Kci-Niwesq is an e-zine bringing the voices and issues of Indigenous women and gender-diverse people to the forefront. Kci-Niwesq is a Maliseet phrase that means: the great spirit of the female side of all life and all things. Published monthly by the Native Women’s Association of Canada, Kci-Niwesq covers ground-breaking research on the challenges facing Indigenous women and gender-diverse people, innovative programs and initiatives, and feature interviews with inspiring individuals.
