SPECIAL STABILIZERS - HARDFACING
INTERCHANGEABLE SLEEVE STABILIZERS
This type of stabilizer is often used in fields where repairs and hardfacing of the blades are not available. This time and money-saving tool comes in two different types : - one-piece body construction. - two-piece body, with the sleeve blocked in the middle. Different size of sleeves may fit same body.

Hardfacing on the blades can be any of the three different types offered.
HARDFACING
Drillstar currently provides a solution to all problems of abrasion linked with drilling operations through different types of hardfacing :
TOPLOY
Copper alloy hardness : 120 to 130 Hv Calibrated tungsten carbide grains. Hardness : 1400 to 1700 Hv - Stabilizers (TOPLOY W) : Satisfactory behaviour in soft formations. - Mills (TOPLOY S) : Excellent behaviour thanks to its matrix specially designed to release worn grains.
TOPIC
Resilient matrix with high resistance to abrasion. Nickel alloy hardness : 400 to 450Hv The application of a special coating improves the adherence between the tool and its TOPIC hardfacing. Tungsten carbide plates hardness : 1400 to 1700 Hv - Stabilizers : Excellent behaviour even in very hard and very abrasive formations. Excellent impact strength, resistant to abrasion and H2S corrosion.
TOPFLAME
Nickel alloy hardness : 430 to 450 Hv Calibrated tungsten carbide grains. Hardness : 2000 to 2500 Hv - Stabilizers : Excellent behaviour even in very hard and very abrasive formations or in H2S environment. Adheres well to its support. Sound deposit, without cracks in spite of its extreme hardness. - Protection : Pieces subjected to severe abrasion phenomena in very hard formation (roller cutter edges, hole opener arms…).
